It's that time of the month...
Car: Whatever the Game Gives you!
Setup: N/A.
Restrictions:
Tires - Whatever your car comes with
Game Mode: Shuffle Race
Shuffle Base: 410
Shuffle Ratio: 1
Lounge: TuTuTuna
Opening Track: any fictitious GT track like Trial Mountain or Deep Forest. We can change it later, but start here.
NOTE of IMPORTANCE:
If you think you are given a "shit car" by the game... get over it! Last time I was handed a late 1960s Camaro THREE STRAIGHT RACES at the Ring. That is not a fun track, particularly on the straightaway, when you are rev-limited to less than 130mph! But guess what, I still managed to finagle a PODIUM FINISH in that car and doing so was the most fun I had that night.
The key to this event is to make it fun. Don't give up and be a princess because you don't like the car. Just see what you can do with it - you might surprise yourself. Plus, there's bound to be someone else in the same boat, so race them. You can't win them all!

I see your 60s Camaro at the Nurb Ring and raise you an 80s RUF BTR at the High Spin Ring ;D.

as far as what car the game gives you, correct me if I'm wrong, but it usually gives the crap cars to the guys who were at the front of the previous race, so if you win you have to continue proving yourself. I like that.
then, if you lose that race because of a crap car, you have a good chance of getting a nicer one next time.
I'll try to make it out but I may have raced too much for my girlfriend already this week ;)

This is where the Shuffle Ratio comes in. The higher the number, the more of a crappy car the winner supposedly gets. I keep it turned down (but not off) because at previous shuffles people would sit out a race if they got a crappy car. The inverted field works well enough to make the winner prove themselves imo

I don't mind getting bad cars so much as getting "inappropriate" cars for the tracks, like when the randomizer gave 1 or 2 people the 110mph muscle cars at tracks with long straights and drafting when everyone else had cars with much better stock gearing.
Or that time when I got that RUF BTR at HSR, I'd probably have driven the car if it were any other track but a stock BTR wouldn't make it around one banked turn at HSR without spinning out so I sat the race out to avoid messing up anyone else's race :).

That spinning is a feature and is known as the great equalizer.

im in just suck up your car and drive it

besides if you end up in a police chase you want to be able to handle any old car that the world hands you, right? or are you going to pull over and say, "officer, please let me hop in that M3 over there, THEN click START CHASE".
besides that's what we're all prepping for, right? KIDDING!

This is a good point. When you're stealing a car to get away, you don't always have the luxury of time to pick out the best thing on the street. Sometimes you're just forced to take what's closest, even if it's what your Grandma drove.

Excellent shuffling. Great driving.
My cars...Audi TTS, Lancer '95, Mustang 05, Legacy '03, Jaguar '07, SL500 '04(?). Funny thing, my top three shuffle cars there would be the SL, Mustang, and Legacy. All is not as it seems in the shuffle.

Shuffle racing give the ability to exclude muscle cars in the options. I like this. Everyone gets to race. Fuck that 117MPH limiter.
Thanks for the fun guys. I love shuffling.

awsome turn out last night and some killer racing to go along with the turn out. :)

Great pics Grill! Also I forgot how much I enjoy that Mitsubishi 3000GT, I was driving the black '95 VR-4 Turbo version at The Ring and even given the weight it was an awesome drive!
-
my personal favorite of them is the '98 MR with the big wing on the back(introduced in GT2 i believe). for me they bring back memories of GT1...
