PD is aware of it and have asked us NOT to watch replays until a fix is sent out.

Yeah, I got that message before loading the replay.  I was like, I'll be fine (also I thought the message was implying that only the game would freeze, not the whole PS3).

I was trying to snap some sweet shots from Monday night's Ferrari Lamborghini shoot out.

Pretty much. When you're in the garage screen with your current car, and the little feller standing there, there's a list to the left. At the bottom of the list, is the number options. If your current car can't have it, that selection will be grayed out.

Basically, any car that they allow you to do it. There is little rhyme or reason to it, as far as I can see.

I ran a few QMs, tonight, checking out a problem. I can't really say that they are any fun. I won't be going looking for any real racing there. A bit of a waste of time, really.

Bring on the missing stuff!

When I have gone into the wild looking for races I'm glad I can see a description of the racing room. When I enter a race I try to make sure the current specs match that of the room description. If that all lines up the racing is usually pretty good.

update 1:13 to UNfuck 1:12

Based on my observations on how PDi deploys its patches, it seems to me that PDi has 2 teams .. an even # patch team and an odd # patch team, and these 2 teams do not share info or work.  I came to this conclusion because often, one patch came in with new bits and pieces, the next patch will reverse the bits and pieces from the previous patch, and then introduce new bits and bobs.  This observation is once again been "proven" by others.   :D

on tracks like Spa, Nurburgring, Le Mans and now its good.

Before the fix - the sun went up around 8.30, while it should have been around 5 or 6h in the morining..
So it was complete dark on the track when it was 8.00 in the morning wich is not real.
Now the sun goes up around 5.00 wich looks realsitic compared what was before.

And also when it went down... same problem..
It was 23.00 and it was still daylight/sunset on the track and it should have been pitch dark..
But now its complete dark around 21-22.00 wich is fixed..

And this has been reseted/broken again thanks to the new 1.13 update. :(
I have tested it and its not good anymore.
Everything is back before 1.12.
So its 22.30 at the track and its still daylight. While the sun comes up after 8.00 in the morning. :(
Ah damn PD, you fix one thing but brake another..

I think there is a simple answer. There is one F'd up team scrambling to make things, accidently breaking things, then while going back to fix something manage to break other things.

I think it comes down to the way business are run these days. Cheaper is favored over experience. In software and many other things it seems a lot can be lost in the turn over. There is no one to pass on knowledge.

Seems like that the teams are branching the software for the fixes, but forgot to check the branch back into the trunk so that everyone working on the software are on the same page.  The wonderful world of software development and deployment.

I can't remember if I've said this here, but I really think QM is meant to bring some of the worst drivers out of the regular open lobbies... might make those a bit cleaner???
