This event will be held January 11th at 9pm. Practice set to start at 830pm and qualifying at 8:45pm.

-Corvette Z06 '06
-Lexus LFA
-Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
-Mercedes-Benz SLR AMG 19"
Regulations
-race hard tires
-no modifications allowed
-tire/fuel consumption set to "fast"
-52 laps
-no driving aids permitted except for ABS
-draft set to weak
-off track conditions set to real
-no modifications are allowed to vehicles (tuning will be set to prohibited). Vehicles can, however be fully broken in.

Vehicle choice becomes permanent after January 2nd. With a roster of up to 8 entrants only 2 copies of each car are allowed. 9-12 entrants 3 copies of each car and 13-16 4 copies.

Yes that's fine. I believe you can adjust that and still be admitted onto the track with the "no tuning" setting. And if not feel free to adjust it after entering.

So if I participate, do I have to use the Z06 given the pairing rules? I'd rather drive the LFA.

Eh...I would hate to deny you the car you want but I want some variety. How about we table that request until closer to race day to see if participation increases. (Hint: I will probably allow it :-X)

Is the "SLR AMG" a standard car, or is it the "19-in wheel option"? :-\

Well, I have to put a name on that credit card...right? Oh, and I think I left the artwork credit in the book (Cover Art & Cover Layout by The Revengel)...
On free...well there's this fund that they sort of pay authors through if you make the book free. But I also don't want to ask my friends to spend cash. This way they get a free book, I get my stuff out there, and nobody has to feel too awkward!

I'll try to show up...with no practice, no car tests, probably with a car not broken in. I'll have all 4 cars, so I can drive whatever car is not represented enough. I get last pick I guess. I think that would work ok. If not, you can assign a car between now and then, but that's a bit like work, so whatever.

Well as it is right now we have the following:
SLS - 3
SLR - 2
Z06 - 2
LFA - 3
and that's with 2 entrants still undecided (hint, please finalize your choices). Turbo I would say pick any of them.

To break it in, let your B-spec drivers take it anywhere it fits. :) I like to use any one of the shorter enduros.

Cool, cool. There is no tuning needed or allowed. You should definitely change oil and break it in though. :)

I made mine pretty and it still gets on track with tuning prohibited.

Had fun in yesterday days race. And nice win for Rick! Also thought i could keep up with him, but with the fuel hog SLR and his speed that was impossible. Even with the game screwing up the amount of fuel to take for the last pit stop!
PS. I'm ready for another please! Also nice job on picking the cars Wolf!

the racing was awesome for the 35laps i ran befor my pedals finally irritated me to quit for the night i stayed logged in, hope my car didn't drift onto the track. the vette at suzie sounds awsome... hope my pedals work better there. nice run Rick

Grilled, sorry that your pedal malfunction caused you withdrawl. Unfortunately your car DID roll onto the track, several times. I T-boned the shit out of it once and I think a few other people hit it but luckily I don't think it had any impact on finishing order.
Rick, very nice win! Your driving was near flawless! I felt that my SLS had the speed to stay up in the front but unfortunately 5 driving mistakes on my part dropped me back to 4th where I stayed until the pit stop snafus helped me out and bumped me to 2nd!
It would seem that DRC is starting to get a bit worn out so I suppose we will have to move on, and Suzuka sounds nice! I'll resume the brainstorming :D
Also I'll have final official results posted later. Thanks to everyone coming out and making it a lot of fun, again!

That was a lot of fun. It was quiet an experience. First I had almost no practice. Second I've spent most of my time lately in Group C cars. So I had to very quickly adjust to a car with half the horse power and no down force. I did not have enough speed to compete with the top 3 or 4 cars but I was making pretty good progress the first few laps. Unfortunately I threw it all away in the bus stop when I had a major off while trying to set up a pass on Dude to get the 5th spot. After another off track excursion I found myself in the back of the field almost 1 lap down. I decided to play a little fuel strategy which appeared that it was going to pay off some only to discover the game had decided to use "new math" to calculate fuel loads. So after making one extra stop and losing a position or two, I figured I'd have to settle for 7th place, but low and behold there was Dude again right in front of me and running slightly slower lap times. I get past Dude and on the last lap going into the bus stop I run out of gas. :o (http://i.imgur.com/LmjyBgx.gif)
This race pretty much had it all. ;D It was awesome!
Suzuka sounds like fun. How about using the clones, or Nascar, or Camaros, or some RMs?

Sorry I haven't posted any updates yet (will also be a new thread). Still working out some details. But right now I would say plan on a choice of 2 cars, a PP range of 530-540 and again no tuning allowed ;D
