Welcome to the STGT: Academy Electric Bonus Round!   As with the last few GT:A events we've enjoyed endured the electric awesomeness awfulness of the Nissan Leaf, so in keeping with this theme the STGT:A has a special bonus round dedicated to an electric car!  Fortunately I'm not feeling evil enough to inflict that insipid Leaf on you guys so instead we're using this:

Electric Bonus Round:  Tesla Roadster "Tuna'd Edition"

Power:  278hp
Weight:  1050kg

Spec:
All bodykit / aero parts (please use the big obnoxious racing wing)
Stage 3 Weight Reduction
Plastic Windows
Carbon Hood
Chassis Stiffener thingy
Fixed Sports Suspension
Sports Soft Tires

LSD must remain stock

Official Running Time: 8-11:00pm EDT
Lounge:  HostTuna
Lounge HP Limit:  284 (or whatever the first one over 278hp is)
Lounge KG Limit:  1050
Car Setup: See above spec!
Tires:  Sports Soft
Wear:  Fast
Grid:  Reverse grid based on previous results
Start Times:  Auto clock set to 6 mins
Lap Count: 4


Wrinkles:  None! Race clean, race hard, have fun!

NOTE:  The Tesla isn't as bad a car as you might think, it's basically the fat / electric 2nd cousin (twice removed) of the Lotus Elise :D.  With the weight reduction, aero and fixed suspension upgrade it's actually a pretty decent ride on the sports tires once you get used to having only 1 forward gear and that whistly / whiney "engine" noise!

had my inaugural ride last night in this thing at your spec Feld, and its a pretty cool ride except as you say for the whistly whine. Alittle touchy under braking but I liked the predictable (if a bit surprising) lift off oversteer. Hope to make it before last call

Only got a few in had a good race with Cip and a couple with Bada and Feldynn. Thanks for sharing the track with me y'all. Thanks to Feld for putting this on like I said I never would have tried this car if not for this event. And thanks to Nosoks for the car. Goos times.

Wish I could've been there.  The Tesla is a fine :fucking car!  It's been in two drive-ins since GT5 dropped...
