I'm going to try and make this one too. But I've had zero prep ... just picked up a car last night but didn't get to drive it. Should be interesting.

Q1: This starts in 15 minutes?

Q2: Can I Supercharge my Miata?

Q3: What's a good time? I'm turning between 1'53" and 1'55".

Q4: Two wheels on driving surface at all times? Is it ok to cut the chicane down by the marina?

Cutting the Marina Chicane is detrimental to ones lap times, I don't see why people do it. The rumble stripping impairs traction when cut early and a late cut reduces exit speed significantly, I've seen upwards of twenty miles an hour lost due to that.

Congrats to Dude, for last night's race! I watched the time difference between he and I get bigger and bigger as the race went on. Nice job Dude.

Also Fried put in a hell of a run in an NA, that I though was too slow to run with the NC's, I couldn't keep up with him.

Thanks Baked for putting these together.  :)

:stoopid:  Spectacular run Dude.  I couldn't keep up in the old turd, but at one point Dude was playing nice and I was catching him about a half second a lap.  Then with oh say 3-4 laps to go, he hits the "spray" and now he's pulling on me by a half second a lap.

Such a tease......

Enjoyed it guys. What happened to Neptune? When I went to pass him, he was zig zagging all over the road like the game was malfunctioning or something. It didn't look like blocking. It looked like his controller was freaking out.

P.S. I just wanted to say ... interesting twist with that track and heavy damage. It definitely changed the way I drove. And I actually got faster by braking early and staying in control as the race went on. Wonder what others thought.

I thought this was the way to approach this track, as well as being very strict about approaching from the outside line. Yes, everyone knows that, but I think it's more important at this track, it's not very forgiving. All of this is what I told someone who has less track time here, in preparation for the GT300.

Excellent evnet Baked. Great fun all.

That track needs total concentration. I had a momentary lapse before the chicane and that was all it took for Baked to get by. Fresh tires would take me 3 laps to get up to speed. Coming out of the pits and seeing that gap dropping like that was unnerving Fried. I felt like I was still doing a decent pace, after watching the replay I see you were putting in some very fast laps.

Also, TunaPitReject and nosoks were setting up to have a battle royal to the finish line, but time ran out. I wonder if we could extend the finish time Baked?

Also, Also, Reject when you see cars get all jumpy on track it is usually right before they disco or they are having connection issues.

I think that is correct.  I saw neptune in front of me on the track and it looked somewhat steady, with a jump now and then.  He tapped the wall a little bit on one of the corners, or it was lag, which allowed me to sneak by.  I looked in my mirror and saw his car disappear, followed by his signing out.

Yeah, right after that, he disco'd. And yes, nosoks was coming up fast. I was watching the lap count carefully and praying I could hold him off till the last lap. My tires were wearing out and I was sliding a lot. Had a couple of mishaps and he caught up. Then I put together a couple good laps and just held him off. But I was nervous. LOL.
