Just FYI...
When I test cars for my series, they are ALL on the same default suspension, not PD's, but my defaults and I will test them on 3 different style tracks, fast, tight and bumpy/undulated .  I will only play with hp and weight to get in the ballpark.

God I wish I had the time to test cars/setups that some of you seem to :P

My PSN is PsychoPhreak, not TunaPhreak. You can tune a car but you can't TunaPhreak!

Thanks Brindle,

I will try that technique as well. This may take some time to put together.

Audi R8 LMS (Team Playstation)......483HP ------ I drove this once or twice and parked it. I forget why. I should try it again some day.

What about the other R8 LMS, with no team name?  It would appear to be identical.  Also, is that hp listed the restricted hp?  Because bone stock that car has 538 hp.

I guess these hp ratings are restricted.  How did you come to the conclusion for each car?  Or is some of this arbitrary?

As a sort of initial "quick test" I ran a few cars around Cape Ring South last night to see if there were any obvious anomalies.  I used the following cars..

Audi Abt TT 2002.................483HP
Audi A4 2004.......................493HP
Opel/Vauxhall Astra 2000.......493HP
Mercedes CLK 2000..............463HP

Toyota au Cerumo Supra.......473HP
Honda Loctite NSX...............473HP
Nissan Calsonic Skyline..........493HP

.. using mostly all PD's default settings, downforce set to no more than 30 Front / 50 Rear and Transmission speed set around 190, I ran about 5 laps with each car per pass in practice mode to get some rough lap times.  Bear in mind I didn't actually tune anything specifically for the track or for my own preferences, it was just a quick test to see if any were obviously faster / slower out of the box.

Mostly with my driving I managed to run low 1'12 laps with all cars at the listed HP (+/- a little for the occasional really good lap) with the exception of the Vauxhall Astra, that seemed significantly faster than the others at 493HP so I tested it again at 463HP and that seemed to bring it more in line with the rest.

Thanks guys,

That's exactly what we need. I hope to try a few more out tomorrow.

As far as what i have here I must admit I borrowed the specs from GTP. I just wanted to try to fine tune everything and come up with some close racing with multiple cars types. I was even thinking of doing 2 weeks of DTM's and 2 weeks of GT500's then the last 2 weeks with something with more power and maybe even an oval mixed in.

Although I like lower HP cars, every now and then I like to bring out the big dogs.

I set aside some time Sunday to test out a few cars but didn't get too far.  I tested the CLK DTM and Oreca Viper around Nurburgring GP/D (Viper was just 1/2 second or so behind) but I ran into network problems (several discos) so I said F*CK it and shut off the system for the day.

So I'm afraid that info won't be of much use. :-\
