Nice. :)
Now all I need is a price drop on the PS4.
Also, have they mentioned anything about wheel support?

I haven't seen anything on that yet. I'd guess they'll get the same support pCARS has.
-
Do you happen to know the expected timetable for this games release on these platforms?

All I've seen so far is sometime in 2016.
-
E3 is the 16rd-18nd, might hear some then.
-
pretty cool!
-
I suspect there may not be a price drop in the near future, but if there was one E3 would be a good place to announce it as well. The PS3s price was kept high by adding new models with bigger hard drives to the line up.
I think this will be an instant buy for me. Keep the sim racing games coming. :)

Some (poorly translated) snippets from a Eurogamer interview with AC dev Marco Massarutto.
Eurogamer: Assetto Corsa driving model is it's undeniable strength: the feelings will be identical to the PC?
Marco Massarutto: This is one of the aspects that have made the success of critics and audiences of Assetto Corsa, so it is the first thing we made sure to report faithfully on the console, and is the aspect that will have priority in the budget performance available. In fact, the developer version of Assetto Corsa console already has the same feelings, dynamism and force feedback of the PC version.
Eurogamer: When only Thrustmaster has marketed a steering wheel officially supported for PS4. This limitation is affecting the development of your relationship with the manufacturers of devices will lead to a widening of the catalog supported for both platforms thanks to Assetto Corsa?
Marco Massarutto: Other manufacturers are working in this direction, we are in good terms both with Thrustmaster, as with Fanatec and we are working with them for some time already in the way, and recently also with Logitech. At launch, Assetto Corsa on PS4 / XB1 will be perfectly compatible with a large number of devices driving although in reality, it is thanks to the work already done on the PC version. However I can already confirm support for all steering wheels Thrustmaster, Fanatec and Logitech that are (or will be) compatible with PS4 and XB1 when launching the game.

Curious how many Tuna I'm likely to find on ps4 version when this gets here

I've started getting a few laps in with AC now and again but I don't think that I will be getting a PS4 for a while.
-
I've hardly played anything the past couple weeks. I'm sure that'll change when it gets cold again.
To be honest, this game hasn't really been on my radar. I pretty much know nothing about it.

I'll be one of them :)

The plan is to get a PS4 this winter.
-
I might be getting an xbox1. They have an educational promo when you buy a surface product, you get a free xbox. My son qualifies for the education discount and I need a new tablet for work.

I don't know about the gameplay, but Forza 6's car list was/is awesome.

I'm not sure why but I didn't really like Forza 4. I had a ton of fun with Forza Horizons though. Not really a sim but a fun game.

OK, we're live. Mine arrived this afternoon. Pretty impressed by the physics, feels realistic.
Can someone explain what FFB slip is/does. Default is zero so I'm assuming I don't want it. Further on FFB, it seems like less force but more feedback, especially when compared to pCars. Thats not a complaint, just an observation.
hope to see some of you fellas out there soon

From the PC info back in 2014:
Slip effects provide additional shaking and rumbling through the wheel when you lose traction.
I have my T500 at 20%, but not tried any other setting in ages.
here's a link to the initial info on wheel and controller set-up back in 2014, there maybe some info that could help, depending on PC vs PS4 settings.

Thanks Pete. Long time no see
-
You're welcome soks.
Been busy working, and trying all the PC racing games when I get the chance.
AC has to be the best, with Race Room Racing Experience coming in a close second.
-
Feedback seems pretty good. I think this is the first sim that made me really feel the suspension expand when cresting a hill.
The N1 race in the Alfa Romeo is something else, though. ???
-
just wish there were cross-platform play :( :(
I don't ever want to go less than 120hz refresh rate again... like a fine wine makes you hate box wine :D
-
Finally got my copy!
Kunos did an excellent job of porting the feel and drive over to console. Even on the ds4, it's easy to tell its nearly the same as pc. I also think it looks a bit better lighting wise, but not overall graphics wise.
Only gripe? I need my analog stick for gas/brake damnit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Socks, Boston? You guys be around tonight? I'm very uncomfortable with the ds4 at the moment, so I'd rather hit you guys then strangers. ;)

don't play with stangers without adequate protection (http://i.imgur.com/LmjyBgx.gif)

Told you I was uncomfortable with the controller Socks.
That was fun except for no chat, but I now know the ps4 came with a wired headset that plugs into the controller and guess what? It works great! 8)

goos times
I love that old Monza track

Since the GT6 players that used to support Monday Night Racing have pretty well all migrated to the PS4, I will start using Assetto Corsa, in January, since Project CARS already has lots of support.
You're welcome to join us, too, Brindle!
-
I still have not been invited to participate in the GT Sport beta, so I am continuing to support Assetto Corsa on Monday nights. Its private lobbies work, with a few quirks.
If anyone is interested, we will use the new Miata NA, which is a good challenge.
-
This week in Monday night racing Brindle showed up Nice to see him. Still fast as fuck :)

Read articles were published, broadcast to perfect it felt good to others as well.

For anyone interested myself and a few others are running enduro type races in AC on Friday nights starting around 8.30 EST. Goos times boys.
AC "ultimate" edition is out in April and will include all the dlc. Don't know what the price will be but I'm thinking it would be a good buy
