Introducing... A Touch of Class

Introducing... Class Racing

Everyone seemed to enjoy the final edition of ShoSho.  Nobody knew it at the time but while it was indeed a goodbye, it was also an introduction of sorts.  We were running a class of cars that most refer to as high end sports cars.  A Touch of Class will be similar in that we will be class racing, but we will be using the classes implemented within the game, for the time being at least.  In short, last week was a segue to our new event.

A Touch of Class will feature a different class and track each week, with a PP limit and tire restriction. All information will be posted in the evnet thread and all class logos in each event post are actually clickable links that will take you to the list of eligible cars for that class.  For reference, CLICK HERE for the entire eligible car/class list.

As organizers we wanted to keep everyone in similar rides.  Obviously to encourage the closest racing we can get.  But we want to leave exactly what you get behind the wheel of up to you.  This allows each of us to find something that we enjoy and will make for a more interesting field, both race wise and visually.

You may be thinking, what do the Tunas know about class?  Well, we lack just enough to make things fun, so come on out and run some class racing with us!

I've read elsewhere that there may be a few cars that are eligible but are not on the in-game lists.

If anyone notices any errors and/or omissions in the class lists posted, please post them here in this thread.  Thanks.

The Falken☆ GT-R and the Schulze are not GT-500 cars, They are both Nerb 24 hour GT cars if they are in fact eligible in the in-game lists it's a mistake on PD's part.

The Panoz Esperante GTR-1 and the McLaren F1 GTR LM Race Car both competed in the same class as the Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car... you only have the Nissan listed under "Le Mans Prototypes."

The Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR Race Car half-belongs in that group as well. It was the bastard child of a DTM car and an FIA GT1 car (where the C5R and Viper GTSR would belong, I know there isn't a GT1/2 category, I'm just sayin)... but it raced at Le Mans in the same class as the above cars in CLK-LM guise, which was pretty similar.

Do you know if the game allows those cars to join if the LMP class is chosen?

Actually, now that I think about it, you want to get accurate lists you should get together with GTAllstar, he has every car in the game and he would be able to sit down and tell you every thing he can bring out under all of the restrictions like you guys where doing the other night.

It's obviously been a while, Fried.  I'm pretty sure my driving was commented on recently, could have sworn I heard, "Come on Rick, we don't need that."   :-\
