There is only one thing that worries me about GT6's offline mode. The licence tests have seemed to have been removed. Ugh.... I loved those licence tests too.... :( Oh well.... at least we regain the coffee breaks.

I think we should still have the license tests, Zilla :).  2 screenshots show the events with similar names to license tests:

And this one shows an actual event requirement that's locked and needs a license test completed :)..

I have a feeling it may not be layed out in quite the same way we're used to, in terms of having a section just for license tests we can simply blast through and unlock everything.  It seems more like it's going to be a natural progression so we start as a beginner and probably do some basic driving course / license test and race through the Novice series then have to take another license test before we're eligible for the next tier of racing.

I see there are stars required to pass a license test. In the last photo it shows 15 stars required to pass National B.

It sounds like you complete the events to get stars and you need a certain number of stars to move up to the next license but I don't see anything about license tests as they are in GT5 or past GTs.  I was hoping that we'd get license tests with leaderboards like in the GTAcademies.  Now we might not even get license tests.  No mention of leaderboards either from what I saw.  I would have also liked to have seen the GT5P style leaderboards return.

The Deltawing just got removed from the official GT6 car list... WTF.

EDIT: Apparently this lawsuit between Panoz & Nissan is the cause of the removal, but that theory is unconfirmed: http://www.autoblog.com/2013/09/17/panoz-suing-nissan-over-zeod-rc-deltawing-likeness/

And some of that stuff you are still going to have to wait for.  A lot of stuff pushed to future updates.

No mention of a livery editor and it looks like the old paint chip system is still in place.  I don't car that much about the livery editor but some people will be disappointed.  While I think the paint chip system is stupid, but it doesn't really affect me too much.

not exactly, as the pics show that you will have to purchase paint chips, so at least it seems that we'll have access to colors when we want them vs having to search and trade for them.  whether some chips will unlock as we progress, is still unknown.

also, it seems there is nothing shown about gifting of items/cars... that worries me a little.

I don't see anywhere where it says that you can buy paintchips.  The screenshot suggests that you have to pay to paint your car not that you can buy paint chips.

You know, that could be the right interpretation.  IDK  :-\

Wow... I hope that doesn't end up keeping the car out of the gaem.

I read part of that article, and it's really convincing with its "they bear a striking resemblence as you can see" but when I looked at the pictures I was like WTF? No they don't!!!!

They both have three corners instead of four.  Big whoop.  They look totally different except for that.  The wheel arches, the front, the spoilers/wings/fins all look completley unique.  What the fuck is the problem exactly?

This part is freaking awesome! (yes, I just felt like saying freaking this time)

Quote
Garage:
Organizing and managing the cars you own in your Garage is now much more straightforward. You can also try out your cars on Free runs and change racing gear directly from this location. You can also store cars you don’t normally use in a Stockyard, and transfer to your Garage when required.

This part, not so awesome.  I can't believe they brought Nitros back :( :( :(  Thanks kiddies for whining incessantly!!

Quote
Tuning Parts:
Here you can purchase a variety of parts including tyres, suspension and brake kits, transmission, clutch and flywheels, exhausts, superchargers, nitrous and others using in-game credits and you can also tune engines and car bodies.

Two cars in photo-travel at once!!!!

Quote
Photo Travel:
Photograph your favourite cars with a realistic SLR camera in such locations as Ronda, the Valencia City of Arts and Sciences, Gemasolar in Spain, and Siracusa in Italy. It is now possible to simultaneously place 2 cars in locations to photograph.

This will be really cool for us I think.  Might provide a way out of just 100 people friended to "hosttuna" and "tututuna".
Quote
Community:
Players can create their own clubs, communicate with one another in the forums and organise race events for their members. It is possible to select from a private racing club, and a public racing club that is open to everyone.

B-Spec to be released later.  This is actually good news because it virtually guarantees that it will be a lot more comprehensive and integrated than previous B-specs have been.  Should mean they are living up to the words below "precision instructions".

Quote
B Spec:
The B spec mode is a mode where you give precision instructions to your driver as a race director. This popular feature from previous versions of GT will be added in a future update. Look forward to the new, more powerful B Spec mode.

Unfortunately, it looks like a lot of promised features will not be included on Dec. 6th, but we will have a lot to do either way:

Quote
Course Maker:
This feature, available at a later stage through an update, will allow you to create your own custom tracks that can be driven in the game. Additionally, in another update we will add the possibility to generate a track by capturing the GPS coordinate data of a mobile app while you are driving that course. This GPS-generated tracks will be available in the game as playable content.

Data Logger:
This feature allows you to analyse your saved replay data to show Speed, Engine RPM, Throttle Input, Gear Position, Steering Angle, etc. in a graphical format. This feature will be added in a future update.

GPS Visualiser:
In a future update, we will add the GPS Visualiser. This is a feature that allows you to import Controller Area Network (CAN), used to regulate automobile systems, and GPS coordinate data from a real life car into Gran Turismo 6, and visualise the data as a replay in the game. The feature is planned to be compatible with the Toyota Motor Corporation’s CAN-Gateway ECU.

Mobile Devices:
Online community features can be accessed through the iOS Safari and standard Android browsers. In addition, a future update will provide linked features through a specialised mobile device app.

3D Compatibility:
Compatibility with 3D TV’s will be added in a future update.

The first time I saw something about the Zeod RC (I forget where / when) I actually thought it was simply a new / hybrid version of the Deltawing, I didn't realise it was supposed to be a completely separate vehicle .  If I'm reading correctly between the lines of the article it sounds like the Zeod may have been built with parts / design components that Panoz holds the patents to and didn't necessarily give Nissan the rights to use to create a new vehicle, I don't think there's anything Panoz could do to stop Nissan creating their own unique delta wing styled car design though as that's basically just a generic triangular shaped wing platform used in aviation.

sure, if there are mechanical or electronic components patented that might be an issue.  But can you really imagine a company as big as Nissan not passing those ideas past their own legal team first before approximating those components?

Looks like the new stadium "track" will allow you to arrange cones how you want for autocross.  That would be really cool.

The Stadium track is very short and the GT website mentions good for Karts. So perhaps Kartocross. :)

Kartocross would be cool or Abarthocross.

In GT5, I worked it out that at Tokyo, you could set up a car hockey game using a tire for a puck.  This stadium would be perfect for that.  You could even set up cones for the goals.  That could be fun.

or, x-bow auto-x?

I'm weary of assuming that the stadium thingy is capable of customizing the conage, because the wording was describing something else.

They mentioned cones, and they mentioned a preset track, but they didn't mention customizing the layout, which is weird because that would be a relatively big feature add that they should spotlight.  That you can create auto-x courses.

But maybe that is part of the Course Creator release later, so they are saving that announcement for then?
