Ok, so here is my plan.

1. Head up to Walmart tomorrow night, around 10pm, talk to the dude, ask nicely, "hey man, will you sell me a copy at 12am?" See how that goes.
2. Take game, pop it in, start download. Finish bag of cheesy poofs from Walmart. Go to bed.
3. Get up, look outside, decide it looks too icy to drive to work. Fire up GT6.
4. Complete one race with Honda Fit. Sell it. Shower. Never think of Honda Fit again. It's dead to me.
5. Buy 90's era Mazda Miata. Finish as many races with that as I can, adding performance parts as needed.
6. Start grinding License Tests (least favorite part of the game). Look at drivers license in wallet. Wonder why.
7. Finish National A Career Mode (required to unlock online play).
8. Take first look at online play.
9. Report back here what I find.

1. Put the game in the PS3.
2. Do the tutorial, buy the Fit, & grind back to 30,000.
3. Sell the Fit
4. Buy a new car.
5. Have real fun.

Sound like a good plan?

You and me both Chrome, even the basic "this or that standard car" type snapshots I've been looking at over on GTP look pretty slick so I can't wait to see what we can do.  That Genesis actually looks like it might be a fun ride too .

I read the manual and there is a bit that concerns me:

"Once you've reached the highest-level Super Class, there are no more licence tests to take."

Is it just me or is there no Super license in GT6?

I think the license test in the International A Class screen would be Super license test, available once you've earned a bunch of stars in International A Class events.

I was worried that using host accounts won't work any more, and that someone with the name "GT Saturday" or "Host Tuna" would have to start a room, then race under that account, BUT

from the manual thingy:

Speaking of people with a NAT type of 3
"・They cannot enter friends' rooms if there is no one else there (they cannot become the room owner)."

I think that means we can join a friend's room even if they are not there, provided we have an okay connection.

Finally excited about racing again.  Looking forward to heading out tonight at midnight to pick up the game.  Just looked at the weather forecast (we're supposed to get something like 9 inches of snow tomorrow) and the freezing rate is expected to start at 11 tonight.

Here's hoping the storm doesn't arrive too early.
