I'm scratching my head over this one--was the "real" slipstream stronger than it should have been?

??? Every Tuna event has the slipstream set to "weak" .... because the "real" is unrealistic.  IE: It's too strong.

The other way around.  "real" is weaker than "weak".  I was under the impression that most people were pretty happy with the "weakest setting" ???

:stoopid:

GT11 and myself had some discussion on this a few pages back, I think. Using Nascar as a sample real world vs. real virtual they were close but a little off.  For example in real world there might be a 5 to 7mph gain in draft vs real virtual there would be a 10 to 12 mile gain.

Way better than weak but still perhaps a little too strong.  I can only guess weakening the Real draft setting would be a move in the right direction.

Also tire tests to start again tonight. fingers crossed...

Going by what I've been reading, the tire/pit stop bug is still present.

It is still there both the tire glitch and no pit window glitch.  :(  I'll post numbers for the sake of it a little later in the week.  I just can't get much into it tonight and tomorrow is Hobbit Day.

Considering how these lingering issues affect our outlook on the game and the fun and keeping the negativity to a healthy minimum, I find it VERY hard to do when I think about this particular bug.  I guess I'm just pointing out that I understand that we all have issues like these -- that make it very hard to keep a positive outlook about the game and its future.  However, I'm sticking with it and finding ways to run and participate in races that either do not use tire wear, or uses some other  workaround.

this is the most important thing for me to have them fix, but if I can keep going without it, maybe everyone else can keep going even though they may be missing the thing that matters most to them?

Let's just get together and race, the bugs and missing features be damned!

My impression of the update is that it has some cool stuff but most people probably won't ever use it.  The GPS thing is cool but only works on a couple of Japanese tracks and only one car(?).  At first glance the data logger looks to be an improvement over GT5.  They allow you to look at some of the suspension telemetry though it looks really basic.  The big thing is that you can look at the telemetry from the top people in the seasonals but that will only be useful for events that lock SRF off since otherwise all the replays will be with SRF on.  It's good that they keep tweaking the draft.  I thought that real was still a little strong but really, they shouldn't be going by what we say but they should be going by what their data says.

Ok, I have been begging for custom wing risers for a decade, and now we have that at least, I will enjoy that for a while. That said two steps forward and one and a half back....With this update GT6 has developed what I call the GT4 vibration and the gauges seem to flicker periodically.

I've switched to 3-D mode last night (just purchased a Vizio Razor M 50 3-D TV) it's interesting and somewhat more realistic, although tweaking My settings may help it look mo better. Anyway..I tried to run an in game race last night three times and the game froze all three times. This has Never happened before.  Not complaining just stating. I hope that I can get the 3-D imaging sorted and perfect.

As I was getting ready for work I noticed my PS3's were reporting updates for GTAV and GT6.

I ran them.  My GTAV machine went right back online.  But GT6 reported "another" update available.  Any idea what it is?  I didn't load it yet but can't get online without it.

I hope that the "enhanced race options available" means Shuffle...

That would be :fucking sweet!!!

Sorry Charlie, no Shuffle :(

There are some changes to functionality in the online lobbies, that's all.

The update applied as you start the game probably tweaked some things that the first update applied or may have only introduced the new seasonals.

I had a ninja update hit last night which reversed a mistake from the 1.06 update.  I think it re-inable the ability to use the HP limiter in non-tuned races.
