Speeds coverage gets blacked out here in Canada since TSN has the rights.  I think that TSN just broadcasts the BBC footage.  It gets annoying when they go to commercials.  For commercials they shrink the race and turn off the volume then add a screen for the commercial.  Unfortunately, they usually cut to commercial when the announcers are saying something interesting.  At least you can still follow the race.  I cut out cable again (my $10/month deal ended) but I managed to find the race broadcast on the internet.

Full race coverage is one thing I would really like to see. We get way too many commercials and no little picture in picture to still see it. I DVR and sometimes have to rewind it thinking I missed a crucial pass, but no it happened during a commercial.

I'm so confused.

FIA president Jean Todt explained in the FT interview recently how he justifies the step up in entry fees,

“At the moment the way things are split is that the teams are paying one entry and then we charge them a service which is retail which is a different service which is supplied to them and those services are recharged to them,” he said.

Not sure what's confusing.  They used to charge a small entry fee and then charge lots of sneaky other fees to make lots of money off the teams.  Now they are going to combine all the fees into one big entry fee which is even more money and then later they will slowly re-introduce more small sneaky fees so they can make even more money off the teams.

In a great GT Life we could look forward to knowing this track might make it's way there but with PD's recent track record (I know what an awful fuckin pun but I still didi it) I am not hopeful.

NBC 2013 announcers for F1.

No Varsha, but I liked Leigh Diffey when he subbed for Varsha covering the European GP.
