Michael Schumacher liked the ATX so much that somehow, between practices and other appearances, he managed to buy a 500acre ranch in the Texas Hill Country.

When I heard that I was like "whaaat?" I think it's just a big sign that says "I have too much money... so much, in fact, that when I travel - wherever I travel - I buy property in case I ever come back."

If I am not mistaken his wife is into equestrian type stuff and the purchase was a win win deal for everyone.

Oh forgot to mention that was a fantastic season. But the US grand prix was like icing. I was amazed at how great the whole event came together and was recieved.

You are right that was an entertaining season.  But we have been fortunate to be a race fan recently in NASCAR the last two seasons have provided good battles. And this past season in Indy came down to the last race to decide a champion. Hoping the recent trend for races and seasons worth paying attention to doesnt end anytime soon. With ALMS and the Rolex endurance series are merging for 2014 maybe sports car racing will get as lucky as these other series.

Doesn't ALMS include LMP1 and LMP2 cars, and Rolex include Daytona Prototypes? What's gonna happen there?

Likely: the DPs will continue as will LMP2 (as it's a strong field). LMP1 cars will probably be allowed to run in LMP2 with some sort of performance hindrance (there was only like 1 or 2 full time LMP1 teams and they are switching classes for next year I believe). That is, with the exception of Sebring where Audi & Toyota will likely compete as it's Round 1 of the World Endurance Championship or whatever... don't know how that'll work.

Also, LMPC will probably continue as well because it was a healthy field too, although it falls below LMP2. It would make sense to rename them but the ALMS has always followed the ACO's class names... now that NASCAR is involved, it will probably go to hell and become a big spec series. The GT field will again be where it's at.

I always wondered how we get that reverse camera angle in GT5.
