Mercedes are very quick over one lap, if they qualify in front they might pull it off.

Welcome to GP2. I feel like we have duplicated this at least one time in GT5.  :)

I'm not sure that I like the new / current layout of the Monaco circuit, I watched a bit of the free practice last night (well early this morning) and I did a few runs around it in pCars last week but it seems way tighter and more complicated than it used to be.  Or maybe I'm just used to the GT5 one and so I automatically dislike the new changed one because it's different :D.

I like GT's use of armco barriers rather that rely on cuttable kerbing. Other than that I believe the layout is the same.

Looking at that map and going on memory (which isn't advisable knowing my memory  :lolz) it's more subtle tweaks like tighter areas or slightly altered corner arrangements (little tighter here or there).  The ones that really stuck out where the first corner and the top of the hill left / right bit, but the rest might just be where the armco / guard rails are replaced with those curb markers now you mention it!

Interesting http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/22643688

I liked this part: "You need to have a car that is on the nose, that will turn when you want it to turn, not where you think about it and it turns a couple of metres later.
It needs to be very responsive, and generally that means you have more of a nervous rear. It is difficult to drive this track fast with an understeering car." Lewis Hamilton
