I went through and put my car for this together last night and did some testing. This car'll do 205 by it self...I can not wait to get it into a draft pack.

You're not doing any kind of cautions or mandatory pit are you?  After 5pm edt, I may be able to make it.  I already have a car set up for this one  :)  I could also post on RIP forum too, they love Daytona  ^-^

Haven't quite decided on cautions yet but I'm going to say no on mandatory pit because quite frankly I don't see anyone going 200 laps on a set of racing tires. I have been strongly considering cautions though however.

Don't forget, you are not allowed to lighten the car.

I could be misinterpreting, but I believe the mandatory pit would be for bathroom breaks, instead of tires. 200 laps with cautions at 200 to 215mph could take 3 or more hours.

Either way I'll try and make this one if I can make myself tolerate running a standard car for that long. For me Standard cars = no cockpit view, which = no depth perception, which = lots of bumping and wrecking.  :(

I don't think that will be necessary based on Baked's undie 500. We were able to run that race from start to finish without interruption.

You do hit on the reason I have not reached a decision on cautions or not. Having them would make for some good racing but at the cost of time because when you have a metric ton loafing about at 215 MPH it is not hard to make a mistake and they will be plentiful. Not having them will expedite the race but the field will thin out pretty quick.

lol, there is going to be a lot of that from everyone anyway, so don't worry too much about it.

I have to make a trip to Indianapolis early Monday morning to pick up company but will see what I can do. Had a blast at Bakes Firecracker 400. And this looks to be hella fun as well. 200 laps though? I say no cautions.

I'm going to start qualifying here in about half an hour. If our math is correct we are going to have to get started pretty close to seven eastern and run with out cautions.

If you guys are still going to run this you'll have to set it up and run it without me, I can no longer make the full duration of the race before I have to leave for work.
