Baked needs a little help, so here is his evnet...
Presenting The Nothing 400. (Sponsored by No One)
When: Sunday, June, 26th
Time: 4:00pm edt.
Where: Daytona Superspeedway
Laps: 160
Car: NASCAR from the new dealership only. (no fantasy cars)
Tires: Any racing tires. (R1-R3)
Restrictions: 493 hp limit, and stock weight. Everything else is driver preference.
Evnet restrictions: No aids allowed.
Cautions: Per Tuna Cup series rules, including 60mph pace speed.
The overall winner of our event will be the person with the lowest score when their personal finishing position is added to their real life driver's finish in the Firecracker 400.

First off thanks to Wizard and Brindle. But the aids are the ones we can control in the room setup and I don't think ABS is one of those settings.

Go to nascar.com. You should be able to find the season standings and choose from it.

He is going to make an attempt and he's got a Hendrick engine in the car he is driving. I can't imagine that he'd not make it in on qualifying time.

I surely would not pick Boris Said for the fact that the results for our real life drivers will be taken from the 400 mile race at Daytona on July 2. At least I'm going to assume that the mention of the Firecracker 400 means that the Daytona race will be used.

Who is your ISP? When I discoed it was due to a complete internet outage. Verizon has been pretty splotchie the last few days, atlest in my location.

Thanks to all the racers who came out. Big bummer that Charlie and Ronin got discoed.
Hats off to Bowler and Cip. They both showed great class. Bowler in bumping me to catch Cip. and Cip. allowing me to save a little bit of fuel by riding his draft at the end of the race. I would have run out of fuel had it not been for them. Part of my victory goes to you guys. Thank you.
Fried ran a 1 pit stop race. I'm blown away by that. How you had any tire left and managed the fuel economy is truly spectacular. Well done!

Just to clarify what this post was about. After I discoed I reestablished my internet connection and had it hold for a good hour, I went to watch the remainder of the race. Once I got into the room I muted the mike and hit the watch race button and as I went to look through the field to see who was where I saw five of the seven or eight remaining cars vanish then I discoed again. I thought for sure I had destroyed the entire race a hundred and twenty six laps in.
I've asked my brother to call Verizon about this, since the account is in his name he has to do it. I'm beginning to think those two or three very humid 85+ days cooked the modem.

Since I didn't get a replay can someone take a picture of my car going haywire when Ronin left... (or post replay and I will grab it) It should be spinning in the middle of the track coming into/out of turn 2. Want to add it to my wallpaper collection.
I have one from the Undie 500 where I am "driving" backwards as two people pass me on either side. That one is a great wallpaper.

About when did that happen? I've watched the Undy replay at least 10 times and have never seen it.

It looked like Boston was going to get the sweep with Gordon and Martin being the class of the field. Then Nascar's version of the lottery took place. Too many young guys that don't know how to drive and don't have any patience in the Sprint Cup series. I remember the good old days when rookies were 30 and had proven themselves in the lower series for years before they got a ride in a cup car. Now, they take these kids that have been good with ultra superior equipment at the lower levels and try and let them learn in the cup series. Nascar is slowly turning into professional wrestling and as long as they have 10% of their races deceided by lottery it's only going to get worse.
