Judging by those times for Cote I don't stand a chance lol, best I could get out of my POS Subaru was a 1'36.6xx and average was mid 1'37s.

Don't sweat it, that's about where I'm at, and I'm sure we'll have company.  :)

No changes will be made for the MR-S.  It has some more top end than the drink, but the two are very close on handling.  Upped the aero changed the LSD and got down to a 33.7 in the drink.  To be honest, I think the drink is faster at this track.

Don't forget you are allowed any turbo's/engine mods and power limiter to meet specs.  I will tell you that the 500 cars are running full turbo/engine mod (about 675hp)  and dial it back to 532 or less.  Helps a bunch.

1'33.7    :o    glad he's in a 500, no way I'll match that in any 300 car

I rarely do the permanent engine mods, especially to race cars. I like being able to return them to stock. I'll definitely experiment with turbos though

Good point, I'll have to try the different turbos.  I tried all 3 versions at Monza and found no difference in my lap times. But this week is a completely different track and any possible changes it torque could make a difference.

I had the very same issue when I put the turbos onto mine, My lap times just did not improve.

The Monza race I made the mistake of adding weight and power for higher top speed, sadly the two MPH on the frontstreach did not counter the expidited tire ware and fuel consumption. I seriously ran a 45 lap stint during practice at Monza on one set of Soft tires and only pitted in due to empty fuel tank. I only dropped a second in lap times from start to pit during that session, imagine how pissed I was when after twenty laps my lap times where getting slow due to tha last minuet change I made for two MPH.....Just to throw it out there for ya.

Some food for thought regarding adding Turbos and permanent engine mods.

I bought the '06 drink, brand new, and here's some numbers that may interest you.

After oil change
hp 327
Tq 246

Added Mid RPM Turbo only - Used power limiter to bring back to "Oil change hp level (327)"
hp 327
Tq 282

Changed to High RPM Turbo only - Used power limiter to bring back to "Oil change hp level (327)"
hp 327
Tq 282

Then added Stage 3 Enging Mod only (Took off the Turbo) - Used power limiter to bring back to "Oil change hp level (327)"
hp 327
Tq 275

Then did Stage 3 Engine Mod with Mid RPM Turbo - Used power limiter to bring back to "Oil change hp level (327)"
hp 327
Tq 317***

Then did Stage 3 Engine Mod with High RPM Turbo - Used power limiter to bring back to "Oil change hp level (327)"
hp 327
Tq 301

***As you can see, adding the Stage 3 Engine Mod nets you up to 35 more ft/lbs of torque when used in conjunction with the Mid RPM Turbo, with this car as opposed to just using a turbo only.

In other words, with the horsepower being constant at 327...

Turbo only - Max torque is 282
Add Stage 3 Mod - Max torque is 317

I'm quite confident that all the other cars for both the 300 & 500 class will benefit in the same way.  Other cars may have more torque if used with the High RPM Turbo, I'm not sure.  May depend on the track too as far as what turbo will be more beneficial.  I truly believe adding the Stage 3 Engine Mod will improve your lap times no matter what Turbo you decide to use.  :)

I hope that all makes sense, I'm really tired.   :)

In the MR-S at Monaco, my lap times with high end turbo were almost identical when I dropped hp to change ratio from 3.38 to 3.48. The car has good torque to begin with, the high end turbo makes it that much better, so much so that dropping 10hp didn't hurt. However, I took off all turbos, running the car at a 3.51 ratio (stock = 315hp) added a second to my lap times.

I guess I'm saying this^ engine mods and turbos, even if you dial back the hp, help the performance of cars.

I'm sure this exceeds the weight limit for the class.

I did not have time last night to mess with adding the engine mod to the drink. I am wondering what the HP limiter % is when adding that mid range turbo and engine mod?
