I'm thinking more like 2015 or 16 for GT7. If it came out next year it probably will be a prologue!

Even that is early if you consider PD's track record.  However, you don't completely rewrite a rendering engine and implement adaptive tesselation for an ancient console.  That had to have been done with the PS4 in mind.  Still, 2014 sounds awfully early.

You know ... it depends on a couple of factors:

1. The scope of GT7
2. When they started.

You could take GT6, recompile it for full 1080p, add some tracks and some new cars and release it for the PS4 ... and I'd buy it. Why? Because it's a successful franchise providing the best online racing experience that I've experienced ... and I'd pay to have the latest eye candy.

Here's another thing ... don't think that Sony doesn't have any influence here. They just released a new platform. It's in their best interest to see that all the major titles migrate over because they know the faithful will follow. There could be financial incentives behind the scenes to release soon.

Sooo ... it depends.

It was also in Sony's best interest to release GT5 as quick as possible on the PS3 and we know how that turned out.  Even Prologue took forever to come out.

Although they did release GTHD.  Has anyone played that recently?  I tried last night with a controller.  They still have the leaderboards up and working.  They get reset every week and there are people on the leaderboards so some people are still playing it.

Top Gear has a poor record with their "predictions". For example, they were way off about GT5.

I wouldn't believe this one for a second.
