It takes seven outfits (suit and helmet combos) to fully augment your team with matching suits... For example, Boston - how would you like a set of seven black and gold racing suits with matching helmets? Or, Baked - how about a bright blue suit to go with your Plazma Blue birthday presents, i.e. send a car and matching outfit...
For those who don't clone, feel free to send me your wanted (and unwanted) suits/helmets and I will generate enough to outfit you and your six robo-Bob's... It will take me a day or two to get them done in our Thailand sweatshops but they will look just like the original you provide in every detail. Long term this will build up a collection of suits so that Charlie will always have what you need in stock and be able to send you seven outfits post haste...
BTW, I am currently looking for helmets to match a pink/green suit, a green/yellow suit, and violet blue/orange suit...

There are a couple I have already cloned (been doing it when I get a helmet that matches a suit). Thanks to all my alt ids (and Croonah and Swerv) I have about 25 unique helmets and 25 unique suits already - when I outfitted one of my alts with matching suits they looked so cool I figured I would offer the service. For example, I have a couple of gold and black combos that looks pretty bitchin' with a gold chrome car...

I have some of the standards, very few of the collectors. But I will clone them and will shortly be able to send an entire set out. As people send me new ones I will be able to add to the inventory and have them available en masse for the masses so to speak...

Shortly I will have seven of each available, in case someone wanted to make themselves and their 'Bobs match, and will adjust the quantities accordingly...

First uniform delivery went out tonight. I sent five Double Stripe 08 suits to Rag. Hope we got the sizes right, Rag! If they are a little large, just wash them in HOT and dry them on HIGH HEAT... If they're a little snug. Uh, well, might I suggest dieting?? :D
That's my whole goal here, to collect them so I can provide them in bulk when necessary. Once I have a copy of one I send it off to one of the sweatshops the Lab has contracted with in the Far East and bada boom bada bing "designer knockoffs" en masse...

yeah I haz a factory here in New York where I can manufacturer four helmets and eight suits in fifteen minuets. The first day I had over a hundred suits.
BTW, you are dead nutz on the third of the way...I have right now about two hundred and twentysome odd unique suits lol

Yep, I now have a factory too. Sitting Duck Racing has expanded into the car and accessory business, under the name Spitting Frog Speed Shop. I now receive daily shipments of race cars, driving suits and paint chips. 8)
Anyways Charlie, expect a shipment from me in the next day or two. I've got around 70 helmets and 70 suits which will hopefully save you some production time.

So many suits and helmets.......and yet I see the guy walking (in my Uniform- maybe it IS me!) through all of the helmets and suits in the screen saver before you go into the My Home page and I see helmets like the Playstation 3 helmet with checkered flag top and the Red Bull helmet and helmets with Flames! I got to imagine that Manufacturer's uniforms are next <drools> Oh, BTW HEY, PD, hows about some tracks and cars?? :-\

Have you all seen the new helmet and and race suit footage added to the GT home screen? I haven't seen it until yesterday, so I wonder if it was added with the latest seasonal race. Anyway, I noticed two things. One, there are a lot of helmets and suits and two, I saw the stig's helmet.

Yes, there are a number of really cool new helmets shown in that video....unfortunately, PD hasn't released them yet....I saw one with flames and wanted it. Also, it would be nice to get the Manufacturer Uniforms and helmets for our B-Spec Bobs too! But for now, we're (Charlie is) only about half way into collecting the helmets and suits we've been shown <looks at Charlie's Mygrantrueismo.net list> It might take another 3 or 4 weeks to collect the rest if all of us send the ones he doesn't have yet.

I had mine freeze before and I had to do them one-by-one. I never tried the Receive All after getting one to come down so I don't know if that fixed the problem or not. I did them all manually and since then (knock wood) any problems have been of my own creation...

I finally seen the demo vid of the helmets, and there are some sweet ass helmets in there. Noticed quite a few corporate paint jobs, Red Bull, Dupont, and Ford to name a few. There was a red tribal flamed helmet in front of the Dupont one that was really sharp.

On the bright side, My brother has in use both a suit and helmet that are not in the lists provided by MyGranTurismo.net. Those would be the "Beginner" suit and helmet. Given how he got them they may not be a retainible suit and helmet, They come on newly created Bobs. We have not tried to change them as of yet cuz they are kind of cool (Plain white) but we'll test this theroy at some point, but I digress. Where was I, Oh yeah, suits that are not in the MyGT.net do exist, my bro has one.

This worked before and it worked again.
My game was stuck with 85 gifts that I just could not get it to accept. Earlier, I saw someone gave me two more gifts, making a total of 87, and I was finally able to accept them all.
I then make an error and reverted back to an earlier game save, with the same 85 gift problem. Someone gave me a bunch of gifts and raised the total to 107. When I tried to accept all gifts, it left me stuck at 85 again. Someone sent me two gifts and it unstuck again and I was able to clear the gift box. I just hope I have eliminated the problem, for good.
So, if your gift box gets stuck, try having someone send a small number of gifts, to give the system a little push. It might work.

Um yeah, would you believe my gift box is stuck too. Please send me gifts so I can unstick it. A couple high dollar cars, some rare paints, and maybe some new fire suits. That ought to get things rolling again. ;)

It always says I am full at 50 gifts, nowhere near the 85 you are seeing. (you must be special... ;) )
Once I get there, 50 gifts, it will not let me receive anymore until those are received. Happens that way on all of my accounts (and with other accounts when I sent them copies of my uniform stock)... If I am sending to one another account and they are at 50, I get an error saying the person cannot accept any more gifts.
This is different from the error I reported where it said I couldn't receive anything more. It recommended using some items, which I did... Seems the limit is somehow tied to specific inventories. The last time it wouldn't clear until I got rid of some uniform combos. Time before that it was paint. Time before that it was car coupons. Have not figured out how it is "calculating" this. But it appears to key in on multiples. Deleteing uniforms back to 7 each made that problem go away. I had at least a dozen of each of the ones I've collected. Paints really pissed me off because most of the time the GAME itself causes the duplication. I had 23 separate "Blacks" in my Honda paints (maybe they change by years?). I also used paints down to no more than a dozen per color I like. (I had 50+ gold chrome, 40 silver chrome and 30 orange chrome - not to mention an excess of most color shift and matte paints.)

The suits that are given to "new" Drivers are "beginners suits". These can only be replaced by replacing your B-Spec driver with a new B-Spec driver with 0 experience. They are not collectable and if exchanged with a suit from your inventory, will not re-appear or show up in your inventory as a replacement. They will only re-appear when you create a new B-Spec driver. The Uniforms are plain, white, with the black GT logo on the suits and helmets.

Yeah, we all started with B-Spec boys that had the horizon helmets and double stripe suits. The first time you re-create a new B-Spec driver, you will receive a "Beginners suit". Your horizon helmet and double stripe Suit will appear in your inventory, and if you want to re-use them you can. You just can't reuse the beginners suits or save them to your inventory.

Wanted to pass along a thank you to Dude. He passed along some helmets the other day. I am sure it was all ones that you guys already have. But it has had me thinking "why do I like the helmets/suits when the option of paint means very little to me?" Closest I can figure is in real life racing I only had a gray and a blue drivers suit. Both were very plain and my helmet was always worse being white with no graphics stickers anything. So having these virtual options has been cool.

O.K., The Double stripe 00 Suit is all White with Black stripes, Black and white gloves and shoes.....there is some minor blue markings at the belt and collar areas. It is one that has not appeared in the Double stripe collection tho....so I guess it's collectable....it just doesn't show up in the Icon box like the rest of the suits.
Still, it's a collectable!

Well, since the DLC got here, I haven't checked to see if EVERYTHING that we received isn't transferrable. I KNOW for Fact that the SIMPSON HELMETS AND SUITS ARE NOT TRADEABLE. ALSO THE GT "OFFICIAL" helmet cannot be traded. I'm not so sure about things like the sampling of other suits and helmets like Woodland suits and Desert Camo Hrelmets......Tell you what....I'll get back to you later on this.

I was only able to "gift" old suits... the new content wouldn't let me... i need to check and see if it affects the ones won in seasonals (i had been able to gift them)
they only ones it let me gift last night were the ones from the older style suits...

That's really gonna suck...we won't be able to collectively get all of the suits ans helmets...well , yes....we will, but it will be much longer in attaining the collection. I'm almost tempted to dump the bulk of the inventory and keep only the suits/helmets that I Like.....after all, PD is gonna release more of this crap sooner or later (Notice I didn't say "Soon"...LOL. Youu know they've got to be loading up for the next DLC release down the road.....I see Manufacturer Uniforms like the ones you have seen in the pits and garage scenes coming out..... 2012 will be here soon enough and there will be more Nascar S H I T to release too.

I've noticed that the "Skully" helmets are hard to collect. Since the DLC, not one of those helmets has appeared. I'm thinking of "trimming" down my collection down by eliminating some of the more mundane helmets and suits. I have no need of the "carbon" series helmets for example.

Not trying to hijack Charlies thread but wanted to throw it out there that if anyone has any suits or helmets they dont want I will gladly take them in and if I already have a copy I will passit along to whoever else wants/needs it. I have the bspec guys split up into two uniforms but those are the only ones I want multiples of I wont ever change them. But I am trying to attain one of each helmet and suit for myself within the game. Will gladly trade got about 120 sets racing softs warehoused. What are you looking for?

Please send (or list here) your "Mygranturismo.net" ID. If you don't have one, then please get one...there is an easy way to do inventories and compare collections online. Sign up - its easy. The hardest part is keeping current on the collection.
Charlie and I pretty much have the same collections (give or take a couple of items from time to time). We would be glad to send, but we don't want to send duplicates of what you already have (unless you want to outfit a complete group of B-spec boys). We have a way to compare collections online at MyGranTurismo.net using a (your) user ID number. ;D
Oh, and check the first page of this thread....Charlie just updated his (and my) collections. there are over 850 helmets and 800 suits in the collections to date. :o ;)

When I logged on last night I saw I think 16 gifts waiting for me. I checked it out and Charlie had sent me a whole array of gear. I haven't had a chance to go through it yet but I would think it's a good bet that I will be wearing some fancy new Maple Leaf blue stuff the next time I'm racing.

While I can only send a limited number of paints per day - gear has no limit so watch your box...
