I have not yet, but was planning on turning some laps tonight after a BMW TT round at the Noodle.

My 14 laps was probably based on a lap time around 1'47 - 1'48. We did a few laps after Nurburgring's race, but I forget the lap times.

Low to mid 1:41's are good laps, I was having some difficulty even getting back to the 44's after a few bad adjustments though.....

Hey, I have my notes...who knew? I did very few laps originally (3), around 1'43, so Ronin is right on I'm sure. I may add another lap...to make a nice 15.

I haven't done any practice for this at all. Actually, I haven't run a single racing lap since Sarthe. All I've done is a few drift events for $$$$. My current room arrangement isn't good for gaming. Hopefully, it's fixed this weekend.

I'm ready to go tonight though. Practice or not, the TVRs will hit the track at Fuji then Suzuka. Feel free to practice in my lounge any time before the event. If I'm there early, I'll probably be running Suzuka before 9, Fuji after 9..

Quali: 9:30pm (Fuji)
Race 1: 9:45 (Fuji)
Race 2: 10:25 (Suzuka) - grid places -based on Fuji finish positions. We'll line up on track in free run, then start the race.

Yep, a constant battle between rampant understeer mixed with low speed power oversteer. Fun racing.

Both races were exciting, in their own ways. Fried qualified first at Fuji, but Max had luck and speed, so he held a lead over Fried most of the way. Stepper callenged for a while i think, but dropped back, and I actually got in front of him for the first time at the end of lap 14. There appeared to be a few races going on through the pack. That's always a good thing.

Max had it all at Suzuka too. Fried recovered from the early laps really well and challenged for the win, but max took it at the end by a few tenths. Spectators reported an enjoyable battle at the front. Dawson, Chrome, Dude, Feldynn, and I went through numerous position changes, along with off track excursions. Eventually we split up, and I chased down Stepper for third, again.

So, Max and Fried led the way, big time. Very well done guys. These tracks can be brutal in their own ways. A few guys had bad luck, on track and network, I think. That's too bad. If there's a drawback to close, fast racing, it's that a mistake can screw by-standers, or yourself.

Thanks for playing my little game. Good job everyone.

One more week in the TVR. We're off to America for Indy Speedway and DRC. That should be interesting.

(oh, results updated)

Another fun night, thankyou Turbo!

Highlights and lowlights from my PoV were this, Suzuka was definitely the hardest race of the two for me as (like many I think) it's not a track I'm very good with so the majority of the time I was racing against my own ineptitude :).  I managed to be clean for the first 4-6 laps and gained a couple of places as others went off and then it was my turn, catch the grass here or a bit of sand there and lose varying amounts of time.  While I ended up finishing kinda high I think we lost a couple of people to disconnects so that likely influenced the results since I certainly didn't drive a 4th place race :laugh.

Fuji on the other hand was a different animal, while again it's not a track I'm all that great on I did reasonably well for once.  Throughout the race there was a pretty good battle for 5th to 8th places if I remember right, varying combinations of me, Chrome, Wizard and Dude (others too probably) jockeying for position for the majority of the race.  So long as I could hold onto someone's tail down the straight bits I managed to keep up and that really paid dividends at the end of the race as 5th, 6th and 7th weren't decided until the finish line.

Chrome was ahead going into the final turn with Wizard right on his tail and me close behind.  As we pulled onto the straight Wizard pulled in behind Chrome for quick draft, since I was slightly further behind I think I got a better run out of the corner and locked in behind them both for the drag to the line.  As we were bearing down on the line Wizard made his move around Chrome and started to edge by, I was closing fast with a little more ground to cover but fast running out of track.  Hoping there was enough track left I took my chance and slotted my car between Chrome and Wizard, we rolled over the line 3 wide with less than 0.070 seconds between the 3 of us!

Goos times indeed!

I was pissed last night, I had my car handling perfectly. I could put that car anywhere I wanted it when I wanted it there and I got taken out on lap two. I made every effort to position my self away from a car that I could clearly see was erratic and that car crossed four carwidths of track and T-Bone me.

That is two crashouts in as many races, I'm withdrawing my entry from the series.
