Stepper, I haven't had any trouble at all hanging the tail out. Not really sure how to help though. Maybe chunk it in the turn a little harder, and nail the gas.

The colours in Autumn ring look a lot more like the colours that you would see in a Montreal fall.

I noticed something else, there appears to be less antialiasing in cockpit view.

Regarding trail braking ... the new engine behaves more like a real car. If you are pushing, it means that you have all the weight transitioned to the front outside corner. That tire can only provide so much grip before it lets go. Once it lets go, your car will continue in the direction of travel of the vector you are on.

How to solve this ... you can't be in your threshold braking zone to do this. Go deeper into the corner, slow the car down more and then roll into the corner and trail the brakes decreasingly down to the apex. This does a couple things. First, you're asking a whole lot less of that outside front tire. Second, you settle the car down more and the other three tires carry more of the braking and cornering load.

In a nutshell, you're going too fast if it's pushing.

Turn 4 can kiss my ass.

I'm losing at least .500 on that one corner alone to the aliens. :P

one of the guys on my friend list has a 19xxx, in turn 4 he goes deep and wide then powers out and leaves me in the distance. I tried going that way but can't get there right.

I somehow just pulled a crazy lap outta my ass in the 1st GT-R time trial and am 11th in the world right now.  Just .003 off of 10th.  Pretty damn happy!

Also, whoever thought these two corners (highlighted in pic) were a good idea needs to be fired asap.  I realize they had to make a link somehow but this is terrible in my opinion.

I watched some replays from some of the top guys and their cars are doing some unnatural things. They're essentially drifting through some corners and I can't even kick the flippin' tail out at all.

I've tried trail braking but all that does is cause the car to push. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

The car just plows and I can't get it to turn anything like the fast guys (all aids off, ABS at 1). The right hander at the end of the old front straight (heading toward the esses) I brake, downshift and turn HARD right and the car sails off to the left toward the wall.

At one point, just messing around, I went through that corner and spun my 900 degree wheel all the way to right lock and floored the gas and the car essentially when straight. Sweet.

Anyone have any tips?

The car has TC on by default.

If you're really bored and want to give the new physics a good test, start either the Sunday or Clubman Cup.  As soon as the race starts, turn around and run the tracks in their reverse configuration.  We're used to these tracks in reverse anyway so no learning needed.  The AI will run their 2 laps and then a slow lap after they finish.  After that, they go into the pits giving you free roam to fuck around and give the new physics a good workout.  Enjoy!

MasterGT: Have you managed to get anything from Sony?  This is pissing me off.  If you go to the GT website and select Canada for the website, it takes you to the US site.  In the Academy leaderboards we are lumped into "other" and can't sort the results by Canada like we could in previous academies.  The demo is fixed in mph with no option to change it to km/h.

Not even from the Canadian office.

However, I will bring these points up because they should have been considered, one way or another.

Number of participants so far....

USA - 16,773

Global Leaderboard - 132,762

Obviously this will include people using more than 1 ID but it still gives us a rough idea.

My bid for min 2:20.xxx is on hold due to the fracken flu.  Force feed back hurts my upper body, and the lack of energy to flip the car around just isnt there.

If you have a spare 43 minutes and have the desire to go faster at Silverstone, watch this video.  Tidgney is a top 50 Global driver and really knows whats up.  Super nice guy too.  I haven't watched it yet myself but I can almost guarantee after I do I'll knock off a few tenths here and there.  He did the same thing last year and after watching I climbed up the leaderboard quite a bit.

Get better soon and good luck getting that 2:20 Agent.  You'll get it!  :)
