If you have a spare 43 minutes and have the desire to go faster at Silverstone, watch this video.  Tidgney is a top 50 Global driver and really knows whats up.  Super nice guy too.  I haven't watched it yet myself but I can almost guarantee after I do I'll knock off a few tenths here and there.  He did the same thing last year and after watching I climbed up the leaderboard quite a bit.

[GT Academy 2013] - Online Qualifier: Guide/Tutorial

thanks for posting, Wiz!

I 'll check it out when at home later...

I remember a video you may have posted somewhere last year which may have been this guy as well.  It really helped me get up to 424th in the U.S.

So far this year I haven't used anyone else's ghost but probasbly will next time I try.  I've been lucky so far finding ways to sneak past my ghost.

Doing pretty good against my friends in the individual sections, and finally got a good time in the full lap worth showing off.

I've only tried it once, and even then probably only put in 20 laps at the most. I'd rather be racing.

I believe I have a 2:24 at the moment as well.    :)

My only motivation to try to improve on that time is to learn the track better and be faster when GT6 finally comes out. But I've got time to play around with that.

Nice time Ex!  Now get your ass in the 19's!  :)

Thanks!

I have a funny story to share with you.  my son was watching me do some GT Academy, and when I showed him the different leaderboards he said "Dang, wizard must really be a real wizard and has special powers to get around the track faster than everyone else."

Jeez... how can I compete with special powers???

I plan to eventually get to the 19's before this is over, as I think a few tenths shaved off is not out of the question.  Now, getting to the very low 19's like you, or even into the 18's, is probably a stretch for me.  (not to mention, getting into an 18 would be a "stretch" for her too! LOL)

But I was surprised by my progress last year and everyone has more potential than they think they do.

I'll post this addage I came up with again for those who haven't seen it:

"If you believe you can do a thing, you're probably right.  If you believe you can't do that thing, then you're absolutely right."  The idea being that we all limit outselves to what we expect to be able to achieve.

After a week layoff; spent about 45 minutes and got my goal of 2:20's ... now I'm curious as to whether I have a 19 in me. The only other Tuna I can see ahead of me is Fried by .340 ... any others here at 17's - 19's?
