Car: Scion FR-S '12
(http://scionowners.com/html/images/articles/GranTurismo_FRS.jpg)
Setup: Fixed-Sports Kit Suspension. Otherwise stock. Oil change. Wheels and paint allowed.
Restrictions
All Other Tuning: Prohibited
Power: 207hp
Weight: 1230kg
Tires: Sports Hard
Lounge: TuTuTuna (please send needed friend requests before 7pm eastern the night of the race!)
Opening Track: I'm thinking a city course...
Tuna Wrinkle: Because this is a celebrity all-star race, we need to be able to differentiate between our celebrities. Please pick one (1) celebrity to race as/on behalf of. Paint your car/wheels in an effort to reflect that celebrity in some way and kindly post it below. Thanks!
Kudos to Chrome for the idea. Well, the overall theme (not the wrinkle - you can blame me for that)
-
I will be driving as Don Johnson in my yellow FR-S with white wheels ala Nash Bridges
-
Can we allow fiberglass hoods to add a litlle black with a color? We could add the weight back in... If so I know who I will represent - if not, I need to think some more... :bong
But either way works for Charlie.
-
Unfortunately my Tuesday attendance has been non-existent recently but I'm going to try to attend this one and if so will be representing Gene Wilder from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory!

Though I could use some colour clarification from those with proper eyes, assuming I'm seeing them correctly I intend onpainting my car a nice purple (the jacket) with some nice brownish red wheels (the shoes)?! :)
-
Close Feldynn, the coat is pink and the shoes are orange.
Carry on.

I had a tough time coming up with somebody, but while looking through the paints, I got an idea. I'll be running as....
Jack Lord(Hawaii Five O)
Car........Hawaiian Blue Metallic
Wheels...seafoam Super White
-
My car will be brown with black wheels, just call me The Unknown Comic !
-
Since i'm a furry, I'll be racing as everyone's favorite giant anthro dragon, dragonfireny.
If i race, i'll bring some of my furry friends too and they'll be painted like their fursonas
-
Remember, they need to FR TuTuTuna to play...

You sure they can't follow my orange dot?
-
Yes. When it comes to private lobbies, they will only see your yellow dot if they are friends with the host.
I use it sometimes to "hide" when doing R&D on "secret" evnets - am working on. For example, DWTT rarely tests openly so that it is a surprise to all...
-
If my hand, tendon, holds up and I can make it, I'll be in some sort of brown, coat/hat with orange wheels, hair

I will try to make it out as Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

I'd like to make it out tonight, I'll try to think of a celebrity. I guess this is the one time I'm regretful of not giving a shit about celebrities.

I don't give a shit about celebrities either. Why don't you go as Justin Bieber. :laugh

Neither do I, that's why I picked a famous person from an awesome movie from the 70s .. that's how current I am :D.

The mention of a possible city course made me think of a certain dark green fastback on SFO hills in Bullitt.
My celebrity is Steve McQueen in a newer version "fastback", painted Vintage Green Mica with the closest I could come to the look of the dark gray 5 spoke American Mags on the Mustang. They are 5 spokes and they are gray...close enough. 8)

Wonderful interpretation of the premise. You have my vote for the show portion tonight(if there is one)
-
I'm going to throw a little funk in the bunch with the purple one Prince.

LOL, I was actually thinking of that. Ok, Bieber it is...car will be chrome, with chrome.
and uh, when I wreck or get in trouble, it was my friend driving, not me
ok, n/m looks like i'm outta chrome. however I actually had a thought on my own, and when the pain receded I still liked it:
I'll show up as James Garner in the Rockford Files, car champagne 'Metallic Gold Leaf', ?black wheels?stock wheels, wish the license could be 853 OKG
also, hope my initial post didn't sound too negative, didn't mean it as a critique of anything

Can't see pics at work so I somehow saw this in my mind; and was going to say, "How appropriate, we're running that movie on Saturday..."

I will try to make it out as Will Ferrell in Talladega Nights - He drove a two-tone Chevelle in a chase scene, i'll match those colors

Thanks for the races guys and thank you stepper for putting it together. But stomach is not gonna let me be able to sit through the races without being able to pause here and there. Was fun while stomach cooperated but I knew I wasn't gonna make it for very long.
-
Well, back to the drawing board, Leonardo...
But I had a wonderfully fub time. Goos racing, 'Stepper! You have my sincere gratitude! That's gruh for Gr and attitude for atitude; GRATITUDE!!!
Many thanks for TuTu and the wonderful events you think up! Sorry I can't make more of them, but I have to do a little give-and-take at home so the :nagnag lovely wife will let me race on weekends.
(it's a little embarassing, but just ask me about any of the housewives, doctor's wives, basketball or mob wives... <GAG> the things we do to enable our racing...)
-
What about Army Wives, does Charlie know about them too? :)
But seriously, I seem to recall I was pretty quiet at the TuTu but I did have fun. The car really was a great drive even around tracks like the Nordschleife and Latuna Seca, hopefully I'll be able to get my TuTu attendance back up in the coming weeks. Thanks Stepper!

Also, i concur (http://i.imgur.com/77rrgz2.jpg)

Much Fun, thanks for organizing
-
I wasnt there, but I have no doubt it was fun affair just like every other Tutu I've attended. :)
