When: Friday, Aug 5th, 2011
Showtimes: 9:30 pm (Eastern)
Where: Custom tracks (undriven ones)
Cars: Any 4WD rally car
Power limit: 325hp
Weight Limit: 1200kg
Tires: Racing Soft
Lap Count: 1
Number of Races: ~6
Each race will basically be its own regular race, but overall standings will be recorded based on finish times. Laps will probably be 3-4 minutes, with enough delay at the end for everyone to finish their 1 lap. Grid position will be reverse from previous race. I'll probably give time before the first race for guys to set up cars (HSR or an easy custom track) I hope to start by 9:45. Very little time will be given between races for tuning (I'm not doing math between races), but you can change cars if you like. A small break could be had if we need it. Late arrivals are welcome. Stay for however many races pleases you. I will try to have 'standings' posted the next day based on the 6, but anyone can come out for a few races. (friend request STVM_TurboTuna if needed)

This coincides nicely with my recent excessive spending spree on all the premium Rally cars, so I think I have a full and complete set of standards / premiums now. Like Chrome I too had a blast at the last one and should be there for this one too :).

Looks like fun! Friday night looks to be a double header of this and Heavy Metal! :jimi:

Get to my lounge tonight for some road rally racing. I might not show up until after 9pm, as my sister-in-law asked us to go to her baseball reason, and for some reason wifey thinks it's a good idea.
And yes, this does make a decent double header. I plan on being done before 11pm, and whoever is still hanging out can keep going with the rallying, get ready for the midnight show, or do whatever the hell they want. Have fun.

I had a blast last time, but I've got some family in town and probably going to miss it tonight.

I will be there for this tonight. :)

It was fun while it lasted. The network exploded on us after two races. Thanks for coming out. There was still a good field for a few races after we recovered. I wanted to record times for a bunch of races, but I only had two proper races...which doesn't make a real series, but it's interesting to see anyway...
Meaningless times:
7'44.041 DawsonTheWolf
7'50.742 Fried
7'55.349 Chrome
8'00.504 Feldynn
8'01.003 Rylvir
8'05.142 Eggs
8'13.770 Cipriani
8'14.396 Psycho
8'19.992 Hey
8'24.290 GT11
8'28.303 Wizard
8'37.269 Turbo
8'37.615 Baked
8'40.412 Thunfisch
8'43.125 Boston
Good job everyone.
If I do it again, I probably won't use Rally Cars, and probably won't use dirt/snow as some would like.
My two car ideas right now are low powered, small engine modern cars, or low powered, small engine classics. I'll have to compare some cars to set this up though. Have fun racing this weekend.

Thanks for running this again Turbo! It was a good night again besides the stupid PSN hiccup, I've really enjoyed busting out the Rally Cars on the tarmac tracks. They seem to be a largely overlooked car class, I guess because people often / mostly associate "Rally" with the offroad surfaces, so it was nice to have these tarmac events with them.. even the big jeep one :D.
Both "low power modern" and "small engine classics" sound good, should be interesting to see what comes next :).

^^Holy hell, I finally finished first in something! ^-^ Those races were a lot of fun, thanks for getting it together Turbo.

Sounds good, I look forward to it. Will that event be on comfort soft tires? :D
