I only tested street cars. Didn't realize we could run whatever. Guess I need to pull out an RMed Camaro or Vette. Best Lap so far is 1:59 in a Z06.

Only one of the Chevy RM or LM cars will work this time around and it's the '69 RM Camaro.  All the others come in at over 550PP stock and we can only use 6kg ballast and can't use the power limiter at all so we have no way to lower the PP.

I think you and I are stuck with street cars this week.

Well damn we can't use the power limiter? If I get some time today, I'll run an RMed 69 Camaro and see if it's any faster. We may be in for a long race of looking at the tailights of that R390.

I have a feeling it's the Lotus that will be the cars to beat. I'm concerned they may not have to pit.

And poor LFL has yet to turn up an R390 in his used car lot. I can't send him one because its cost is a million bucks.

Has there been any mention of the number of laps this race will be?

No.  I think he mentioned it will not be announced until right before race time to keep us guessing.  I'm guessing anywhere from 20 to 23.

Not sure how they expect a driver to put together a strategy if they don't know the length of the race until right before it's run.

Figure 50 minutes to an hour of racing. My guess is around 25 laps.

I ran it in online practice last night for about an hour and managed a 1'57.448 best. Most laps are around the 1'59 time.

From the list of updates for 2.02

Tire-wear speed adjustment

I wonder what that means?

Not sure how they expect a driver to put together a strategy if they don't know the length of the race until right before it's run.

The race series organizer is doing that intentionally to keep people on their toes.  Regardless I am pretty sure all the races will be between 45-60 minutes long so I think you can figure it out from there (if that's true).

I think you'll have a few options for tire wear (instead of just on off).  That way you can bring pit stops into the equation for shorter races whereas in the past you need 30 minute + long races just to being pit stop strategy into play.  I hope that it remains clear which setting is the same as the existing "on" setting so that we're not all thrown out of whack :o
