 Another great racing night guys! And congratulations to Brindle for his double win! Also thanks to Baked for putting this series to gather!

Was bummed tonight. A bit due to a reduced turnout but only mildy still 10 or 11 racers and still a pretty strong field at that. The real reason I am bummed is my performance did fairly well til there was a lighting distraction here in the house made a mistake and felt rattled the rest of the night.. Practiced well Q'd well and let myself down in the race.

Points wise Brindle pulled further ahead while 2rd thru 7st probably got tighter. Will post the updated results and points by Sunday at noon.

Thanks to those who braved the streets of London. Maybe we could figure out a way to show a video of the race each week

I can make this happen.  I can capture in HD and am verified at Youtube to post long videos.

I'm not sure how reliable I'll be about making it happen, but I'll do my best. 

Suggestions on the best way to go about capturing the replay are welcome.  I'd probably stick to the replay camera for most of it, following the action wherever it may be.  Another thought I had was to use cockpit cam or exterior view and follow the person with the fastest lap for one or two laps.  That way everyone else could see the fastest lines that were taken, braking points, technique, etc.  Might be a good learning tool.

I'd like to have nothing on the screen but will probably need to turn the map on so I can see where the action is.

When the races are like the past two weeks you will be able to flip around to a few different battles. Hell flip through different views check out the live timing act like you are the producer for NBC Sports. We are not gonna know anything better.

after last night was ready to take a few days away from the karts. but Brindle got me to come out and run some for the coming week along with Nosoks and these damned things are so much fun to drive its hard to not enjoy any seat time in them.

btw in case anyone is wondering Brindle looks to be fast again this week.

I won pole in both races and took fastest lap in the first race of the evening while Wizard took that honor in the second race.

As for the points battle looks like Brindle has a stranglehold on the lead but the most of the rest of the field is involved in one of two battles.

Got something for you all.  Hope it's useful.  

First, a huge thanks goes out to Socks for informing me of using ballast in the kart to settle the rear end. He said to run around 10kg of weight, with it all the way to the back (+50).  It does help a lot to add weight, but how much is a personal preference.  Myself and Baked prefer 1-3kg depending on the track to settle the rear end, where Socks likes it around 8-10kg.  I strongly suggest you try/test different kg numbers, as it will help a lot.

Thanks for sharing Brindle and 'soks. The first season of our careers is half over already. Shaping up for a strong exciting finish. But already I have found my thoughts previewing next month in the Rockets but need to try to maintain some focus on the task at hand.

Thanks to the racers who are making this a fun series.

I ended up using some ballast due to my research on Karts in GT5... just a couple kgs is usually all that is needed.  Then, good inputs help to keep it happy on some jumpy high speed corners.

I was bummed because I took special time to make arrangements to race Friday but the game didnt' want to cooperate with me.

1st race, couldn't see half the field.  That confused me and I got a false-start.  THen, the Kart wouldn't get going in 1rd after taht.  It was good I started at the back, because I may have wrecked some of the people I couldn't see otherwise.

2nd race, I could see all but one of the participants, and qualified 3rd.  First lap or two, I was hanging with the leaders, feeling good.  Then BAM on the last turn I couldn't brake or steer.  The game just freaked out on me.  Backed up, turned the wheel, and got into 1rd gear, and the thing still went straight into the wall.

Decided to bail on that race too, to avoid wrecking the night for everyone.

Then I got some booze in me and all was better

I'll try to see if this week is any better
