Has anyone tried out the race weekend?  If so, how is it?

Dig the skins Wizard. especially the right side door. Great touch with the Tuna motto.

Also...also Boston is one of my favorite bands.

Not had chance yet, but a lot of the replies in the link below seem to like it, with some recommendations for future updates. Some glitches are also listed.

I just tried race weekend.  It's ok.  Nothing spectacular, but not bad for a first effort.  I'm sure it will improve over time.

You can set practice length, Q length, and lap count.  As far as I could tell though, that's about it.  You can also set the AI field pretty much however you want.  Up to 23 AI on Mugello, didn't try anywhere else yet.

I run a quick 5 min Q followed by a 5 lap race.  I enjoyed it.

I'll save everyone some confusion....  after each session has ended (practice, Q) a flag appears in the top left corner of your screen.  To advance to the next session, click on this flag.  I stared at my screen for a good 5 minutes wondering what the hell I was supposed to do after the Q session until I finally realized I needed to click that flag.

Thanks, how is the AI these days?

A lot better than what it was based on my short test today.

The start of the race was much better in particular.  No huge pile up at turn 1 like there was before.

Still a long way to go, but I think it's at least an enjoyable experience now.

So not nearly as good as GSC yet?

No not yet.

Looks like there was another update today though with some further AI improvements...

0.8.7
- Fixed Race weekend output
- Improved AI
- Improved AI Fuel evaluation
- Fixed FF vibration with stationary car (Mclaren GT3)
- Graphics optimizations

Looking forward to trying it out.  If I get a good race, I'll post a video showing off the AI.

haha... yea that was CRAZY the other day when I tried to drive that for the first time.

Holding the brake down fixed it, but it was still annoying as shit.

There's a dude over at the official forums that has started work on the Corvette Daytona Prototype...

To my knowledge, it'll be the first Gen3 DP in any sim.  I'm pretty stoked about this one.

Some minor changes.  Added black outline around the white stripes.  Added Tunaco Race Fuels logo and a couple other logos not visible here.

It's pretty basic but I'm learning quite a bit.  Some of the lines are difficult to get lined up properly as you can see on the roof near the top of the front windshield.

If I were to start over from scratch I'd follow the lines/curves of the car a bit better.  Maybe for v2.

Suggestions welcome. :)

Actually it is what I have been calling my racing rigs, and I think Chrome had used it before although to be fair I am unsure of what his was referencing. My cockpit is the Motuna YF-1.
