Had a blast with this. Sadly Disco at 10 to 10 prevented me from getting that one last race in.

Great racing in those little buggers.

Thanks for coming out, Ronin!

We had the US Director of GT in the room tonight, too. :D

No problem, I am enjoying the racing I am finding with you when I am not lagging up the joint.

Before or after my dsisco?

Not sure. Mondays are not the best evening for him, so he can't usually hang around.

I'm hoping he will convince others from the GT team to show up, too, since this is a community event.

Must be nice to have connections...

We've been doing the Drive-In for 3+ years and no one like that has ever shown up...

But we've had many other "special" geusts.  Like DesertSniper's chubby brother DessertSniper.  ;)

Or one time the Three Stooges joined - moe, larry, and curly (and shemp but that was to :fuck with the other "stooges".

cool... glad you posted this here too MastrGT!

the first week you did this, a few Tuna popped into the room probably just because "hey, MastrGT is in a race lounge and I haven't raced with him in forever... lemme see what's going on?"

and then awesome races ensued.

hopefully I can make it occasionally, but Mondays are one night that falls smack-dab-between other racing nights and pushing for extra time on GT often seems like a bad idea on Mondays.   (http://i.imgur.com/LmjyBgx.gif)

Haha! DessertSniper! (http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss272/james_mikel/STGT%20forum/zLOL.gif)

I am waiting for things to calm down there, so that I can invite others to come and race with us, too, although I don't expect a Kaz to ever show up. Based on some previous attempts, I'm not sure how successful I will be at this because some professionals just won't make the time for me to even come to the forum, but I'm going to try again when the environment is right for it.

My Monday night events and some others (http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-3/PlayStation-Community-Events-Calendar/m-p/38328759#M3805742) that are being done now through the PSN are meant to help rebuild the community again and bring its members closer together, and there are some other things going on that should improve the community as a whole, so I hope you all keep interested in it.

Yup, those 500s were fun, plus last week's lobby was full for the 1rd time, at one point. I don't know if every night will be like these, but they were worth it according to the feedback.

If anyone has suggestions for a good race that fits the series, please PM me and I'll try to work it in.

Come help celebrate my birfday, this Monday, too.  :-*

I want to thank all of the Tunas that raced with us, both last night and since we started in August. I am going to take the next two Mondays around the holidays off, but somebody else may fill in on the 31st.

For the first time, we had 16 in the lobby. I think the most we had before was 15. Putting "Ferrari" in the lobby name sure helped!  :D Unfortunately, that also meant I had to eject a few who couldn't contain their enthusiasm or couldn't drive worth beans. That's Open Lobbies for you.

Following the discussion in the Bitch thread, I have to decide whether I (or one of you) should post the race details here each week or not. I have been trying to post on Facebook, recently, but forgot this past week, until literally the last minute.

Also, there is a new community calendar for the PSN and it's functions and usefulness will improve, over the next few weeks and months. For example, it will have a Twitter auto-message to which you can subscribe (from what I understand about how it works). I will try to arrange the best use of the calendar and any other design change or new forum function for the Saturday and Monday community events, so that it saves having to do admin work for these events. I don't imagine that these messages will change very often, which means that anyone interested in them will have to find the weekly details elsewhere or in the event threads.

I had a great time MGT, I'm very glad I made it out. I usually take Monday nights off. :)

Awesome event. I had a blast rubbing door handles with Ronin and chasing the ghost of DudeTuna. Had a few spins and was worried I might get the hook, but thankfully found a tune that I could manage and settled down. Hope to make some more of these in the near future.

This was fun except for when I left to do an oil change.  When I came back, I couldn't get around the track, only realizing after I left the race that my tires were changed to Comfort Softs.

Goos times

This was a lot of fun. I wound up using an Mazda Roadster RS (NC) '07. It was from something we ran using fixed sport suspension and stock diff. It worked very well on comfort soft tires.  :)

Thanks for keeping this current. I haven't been cross-posting here, but you seem to enjoy the events.  :-*

I posted a typo in the lobby number, so I apologise if anyone tried to use it last night. Fortunately, most people who attend are on my friends list, and were able to find it. The lobby system and I aren't perfect.

The next one should be an easy one to enter, too.  8)

I'm confused about the menu setting for Touring Cars.

When I selected it, the permission for tuning was greyed out, with a red slash through it, but cars were allowed to be tuned? Am I misunderstanding what is going on or did they mess this up?

Sorry I was too tired to make it last night. I was looking forward to the nontuning aspect myself.

I think what happens is you can not add or tune any parts the vehicle does not come with stock. If the car comes with an adjustable transmission or suspension then the adjustable transmission or suspension can be adjusted.

Ah, OK, I figured out what happens.

If you use the class picker for cars and set a PP level, it restricts changing to no tuning. If you use power and weight, it does not do this. Why they would do this escapes me, for now.
