Ah, yes we can still have you!  I had thought previously that you were MIA for good but welcome back!  Do you still want to use the Supra RZ?

If so then Metal, the Supra is off the table ;D

LooneyTuna I don't like doing events on Friday or Saturday nights either so we'll try to avoid that.

Metal, do you mean you can only play those nights till 1030pm?  Or that the event must start by then?  Either way I don't think it'll be a problem.  Metal we would love to have you aboard.  At this point I technically have 16 people signed up.  However I am sure that come the day of the race there is always 1-2 people that can't make it.

I would have to leave by that time. Sorry for the lack of clarity lol. Thanks!

The "second coming" of race #1, held last Tuesday (the 20th) was a fun event with 7 participants (3 of whom had already done the race back on the 15th).  The results are as follows:

1st - dawson864    - Toyota MR2 GT-S '97 (no points)
2nd - kngrsll          - Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II '95
3rd - Valrik            - Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II '95 (no points)
4th - Cainius          - Honda S2000 '99
5th - SonicZoom82 - Acura NSX '91(has to change car)
6th - blasphemour  - Acura NSX '91 (no points and has to change car)
 7th - chazz1x        - Acura NSX '91 (has to change car)

I'm not sure how to integrate points from this race with the race held on the 15th.  Obviously points do not count twice for people that participated in both (if you were in Race 1 then points count from that race.  The second one gives you no points).  The question is what to do with the people that weren't in race "1", that being kngrsll, Cainius, SonicZoom and Chazz1x.

I have an idea of how to integrate them but I'm open for any suggestions...?

Sorry for my absence lately, I will be able to start making the races from here on out.  Holidays were busy for me.

If I haven't been bumped yet that is. :-[

there goes my lead... DOH!  At least the replays will be instructional ;)

if in the first race, count as official time. if only able to attend the 2nd race, count that as official time.  then see where overall finishing time stacks compared to first race.

so my first place of race #1 compared to the highest placing newcomer in race 2 and see who has the quicker finishing time...

going forward though, two races is too confusing unless there are two divisions with qualifying.

EDIT: Oh, and if it's on a Weeknight, please do at least 9:15 or 9:30 so I can put kid to bed and have time to warm up.

Yeah going forward there will NOT be two races like this first go around.

exXboxfan, I like your idea of using total time.  How do you view the race results from the replay?  I saved the replay but can't seem to view the full results.

As per exXboxFan's suggestion the two race results from Event 1 will be merged together via time.  Going forward there will be just one race (no make up event) so I hope we can find a date that works for everyone (or close to it).  Below are the results going forward:

1   exXboxFan                     Acura NSX '91                              42:16.950                      100
2   STVM_LooneyTuna    Honda S2000 (US) '99                        42:38.750                          90
3   dawson864              Toyota Supra RZ '97                             42:41.726                       80
4   PsychoPhreak  Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo MR '98               43:02.814                            70
5   skyfire3000     Nissan Skyline GT-R V Spec II (R32) '95        43:37.222                           60
6   Valrik             Nissan Skyline GT-R V Spec II (R32) '95         44:09.740                          50
7   kngrsll            Nissan Skyline GT-R V Spec II (R32) '95         44:18.915                  40
8   dannydigital         Honda NSX Type S Zero '99                       44:50.599                       30
9   Canius                       Honda S2000 (US) '99                        44:52.371                      20
10 SonicZoom82                   Acura NSX '91                              45.03.629               10
11 blasphemour        Mazda Efini RX-7 Type R (FD) '91                   -1 lap                    5 (participation points)
12 chazz1x                          Acura NSX '91                                  -2 lap                  5 (participation points)
13 Feldynn             Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo MR '98           lobby disconnect 15                 5 (participation points)
14 SnakeEyes427  Nissan Skyline GT-R V Spec (R33) '97      lobby disconnect lap 8               5 (participation points)

Italics reflect entrants who will be changing cars (permanently) from hereon out.

A fun stat that I thought I'd throw up are everyone's fastest laps:

exXboxfan               - 1:51.014
STVM_LooneyTuna    - 1:51.811
dawson864              - 1:52.963 (MR2)
PsychoPhreak           - 1:52.971
Feldynn                   - 1:53.004
dannydigitl               - 1:53.106
dawson864              - 1:53.367 (Supra)
Canius                    - 1:53.770
skyfire3000              - 1:53.818
kngrsll                     - 1:54.265
blasphemour             - 1:54.297 (NSX)
SonicZoom82            - 1:54.322
blashpemour             - 1:55.106 (RX7)
SnakeEyes427           - 1:55.164
Valrik                       - 1:56.099
chazz1x                   - 2:00.153

I think that seeing how close most of the fastest lap times are is a testament to how closely matched these different cars are.

I haven't tried looking at the end of a replay to see finishing time, and of course it just resets the replay for ya...

how did you manage getting the times out?  I'm going to need to know this for something else I'm working on.

Thanks!

^^Noted Metal.  MR2 it is!

^Well that is an interesting thing.  For the first race (the one you in which you were the victor) I was smart enough to 1) set the "waiting" period at the end to the maximum of 2:30:00 and 2) took a screen shot (with my camera) of the results screen, haha.  For the 2nd race I forgot to extend the "waiting" period so it was on the default 30 seconds which unfortunately cut off a lot of participants last lap.  However nobody seemed to complain that it robbed them of the opportunity to overtake anyone.  Of course that still left me with several participants without a final time.  I extrapolated that data with a "best" guess by pausing the reply after the winner crossed the finish line and, based on viewing the full information screen, calculated how far back people were based on the 3 timing intervals featured for the Tokyo circuit.  The times I used for the intervals were the winner's times so in most cases I helped everyone out (though it was fair b/c it was across the board).  I realize this may be confusing.

Bottom line, always take a screen shot!!!
