all I can say is that at madrid I didn't just finish 20 sec ahead of 2nd, but also clawed my way to the front after a lot of difficult passes...

I'll see if I can handle the car with 80-100kg at the zero position and if it feels stable I'll try running it with that.

i'm not getting consistent 1:55s either... Most are in teh 1:56-57 range if I don't slide at all or use too much caution in trouble spots...

Sorry we lost you Metal!  Seems like there's 1 casualty DNF every race.  Oh well, such is racing!  ;D

I apologize for the delays at race start.  I thought that Psycho was hosting in my lounge not his and thus a few participants were temporarily left out in the cold.  2 other participants also informed me (after i sent them semi-annoyed texts) that they haven't gotten any of my race related emails (this ppl aren't on any GT5 related boards).  Lol, oops!

Race 3 Results!

1 Feldynn - 50:40.196
2 exXboxFan* - 50:44.443  + 4.247
3 Looney_Tuna - 52:03.832  + 1:23.636
4 PsychoPreak - 52:07.918  + 1:27.722
5 dawson864 - 52:12.651  + 1:32.455
6 Cainius - 53:20.417  + 2:40.221
7 blashphemour - 53:34.211  + 2:54.015
8 LastLeafFan  +  2 laps (?)
9 Metal  - DNF

*ran with 80kg "penalty" ballast

Congrats to Feldynn for some great driving and excellent pit strategy.  Condolences to LastLeaf who had great difficulty finding the pit entrance    and Metal for the disconnect.

It's too bad you got dropped Metal as you were right on my tail at the time, the next thing I knew I was all alone again. I just figured that you must have pitted but then someone mentioned that you were gone.

It was a fun time and I learned a very valuable lesson last night. Know how to pit at DRC.

I spun out at the bus stop on I think it was the 1rd lap and promptly went from 6st to last and thought my race was over. Not in the NSX though. I picked my way through the pack and made it back to 3st and Xbox pitted on I think lap 10 and when he got back out I was right with him. Then Feldynn pitted on lap 12 and I moved to 2st 10 seconds back of Xbox.

This is when I had my brain fart. I pitted after 13 and was sent right through the pit and had to go all the way around. A 3 + minute lap hurt but not as bad as the next lap when I went through the pit again. A 6:10 lap which put me 3 laps down. The 3st time being a charm I saw that you had to be in that little lane just below the track. I honestly never knew that before, Oh well live and learn.

I honestly felt that I could have got 3st or even 2st with Xbox pitting twice.

Anyway a good time and I want to thank Phreak for the kind donation of the NSX. I had enough time to run it completely stock and got in about 5 laps before the race.

I will be more prepared next time even though I hate the next track.

Good times guys and thanks for taking me in Wolfpack.

Congrats on the win Feldynn.

Glad to have you aboard Leaf!  And with the NSX you were doing well!

Laguna Seca isn't my favorite (as i've said) but I felt like I should put it on the schedule, lol, so there it is  :lolz

I spun out at the bus stop on I think it was the 1rd lap and promptly went from 6st to next to last and thought my race was over.

Congrats on the win Feldynn.

Fix'd, I was so far behind you didn't even know I was there. I was knocked off course earlier in that lap

I'm glad I stuck with it and ran some consistent laps, stayed out for 14 laps before 1rd pit stop. I held on, barely, to bring home 3st.

I did end up running an extra 80kg, maybe put an asterisk on it?  Think I'll probably dial it back to 40-50kg for next race if that's okay.  Oh, and I did not bump up power to get back up to 480pp.

Looney, I saw that.  I think it was Canius that tapped you into the grass on the outside of that right turn (entrance to banking)?  I hope that didn't piss you off too much.  I'll mention to him to be more mindful about incidental contact and yielding.  Either way a pretty good race for you I think!

exXboxFan, good call.  It's been updated.  Also run whatever you like.  Obviously close racing is more fun but don't put yourself at a disadvantage of course.

Yes, it upsets me but I can't throw stones as I make mistakes as well. ( I made such a mistake a short time before this event but I checked up until the driver I hit regained position) I just wish people would hold up if they know for sure that they took someone off track. Then, maybe there will be at least two drivers racing each other instead of just one waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay in the back.

...and thanks for the compliment :) I'm happy with what I was able to accomplish, especially since I wouldn't be able to catch the cats out front even without going off track.

I guess so, I just thought that was on lap 2. I figured that was when I went to 7th or so. All I know is there were cars all over the place. I still don`t know how I missed Dawson when he spun entering the oval from the infield. Just luck going through the cloud of smoke  .

Who was it that drove in the pit exit by mistake. I was laughing over that one plus I don`t know who it was but I T boned someone at turn 1. Couldn`t avoid them as they were across the whole track.

Good laughs throughout and great run Looney going from that far back.

Thanks LLF.  :)
I think that was me.  I forgot about that incident as well. I almost went into the exit of pit rd myself but was able to drive around.
