Is there a conflict on the 7rd with Baked's Birthday Bash the same night?

Only for an hour or so I would guess.  ;)

Cool. I'm not sure I'll be entering, I'll ask about entry closer to the event.

Interesting note...I did a few laps in an S2000 and a Supra...same top speed on the track.

What kind of top speeds were you getting Turbo?  I myself ran a few laps with my Fairlady 300ZX for proper test purposes, then the Twin Turbo GTO MR and an NSX Type S Zero just for fun / comparison.

Fairlady 300ZX
Top Speed: about 165mph
Best lap: 4'29.5xx

Mine felt pretty comfy, tire wear wasn't too bad considering it's weight (1510kg I think) and the stock trans is quite nice.

Twin Turbo GTO MR
Top Speed: about 160mph
Best Lap: 4'31.8xx

As much as I love that GTO MR between it's bulk and slightly long gears (for the power, the actual gear spacing is very nice for a stock trans) are making it just too slow to be competitive at spec for this series :(.

NSX Type S Zero
Top Speed: about 175mph
Best Lap: 4'25.1xx

Definitely has the speed advantage over my Fairlady on the straights with the higher speed, mine did seem a bit heavy wearing on the rear tires though (even without extra wear from excessive wheelspin) which could cause handling problems down the line or maybe mean an extra pitstop though it might just have been my non-setup / driving style :)

Should be an interesting race!

I forget my exact top speeds. I doubt I hit 170 in them. Maybe 164, maybe 168....somewhere in between. Lap times I kind of remember. I only did one timed lap in each. Supra was 4'29, S2000 was 4'26.

Interesting testing notes fellas.  The reason I set the race for the chicane configuration actually had a lot to do with the vehicle top speeds.  Since my regulations call for stock transmissions I felt that having a several mile long straight would be unfair for some vehicles.  Unfair to the point of insurmountable. Without chicanes I got the following top speeds:

'91 NSX - 189
Supra RZ - 179
300ZX - 188
S2000 - 176
MR2 GT-S - 173
GTO Twin Turbo - 176

The faster cars were enjoying a 1-3 second advantage per lap as a result of that.  While I enjoy the original "old school" La Sarthe configuration it just isn't meant for a series of this specification.

As an aside it blows my mind that the stock NSX transmission is geared for close to 200 mph

Looney, I was using basically the same tune listed on page 15 of this thread for a few laps and it worked well. I think my engine only had the bolt ons/turbos required to make 480PP, no power reduction. It may help, it may not. Good luck!

This one?
Height Adjustable Suspension: (F/R)
Ride Height  -5/-10
Spring Rate  4.0/5.0
Damper:    1/3
Camber: 2.0/2.5

LSD
Initial: 10
Accel: 30
Decel: 10

In the "testing" I was doing raising my height seemed to help the most. My springs are similar but camber is reversed more or less. Also, when braking the back end always wants to swing around. Is there anything to prevent that? (could that be a lsd (decel) adjustment?

also....thanks for the confidence.

^You could try adjusting your brake bias more towards the front (if you haven't already).  Stock is 5/5.  Going to 5/3 or so should help.
