Unfortunately I'm going to have to miss this week's race (again), last few days before my bro heads home so I really can't dedicate that much time for one race unfortunately.  On the bright side he's leaving this Saturday so if there are any races left in the series I should be able to attend those .

And just for giggles ...

Also can someone remind Metal so he doesn't miss this!

I just got a call that my youngest has an assembly tonight and I will probably not get back in time for this. Another shame because I like this track too and I have been working on the car this week.

what a race! i was literally out of breath at the end. Fantastic scrapping with ya Dawson and Turbo.

Nice win Metal. I ran much better when it didn't matter, getting steady 139.3-5s.

That was a pretty crazy race, and what a photo finish!  Great win Metal, can't believe you beat me by 0.038 seconds!    Hat's off you to on top notch driving.  Starting around lap 20 you were reeling me in a tiny bit every lap it seemed.  And i was running consistent 1:39s-1:40s almost error free.  Amazingly well done my friend!

Looney, those were some great laps you were pulling at the end;  seems like almost everyone was running pretty hot in the last third of the race.

It was unfortunate that lag struck nearly every one of us at one time or another (makes me think that I'm an unsuitable host and that maybe my network caused the issue to strike everyone?).  I hope that lag didn't deeply impact anyone's race in too negative a manner.  Lag rammed me into the wall at the very first turn and cost me 8 seconds, which I was able to gain back.  I hope that my close battles with Turbo and Looney weren't grossly impacted by lag.  And that goes for any other position changes (as I'm just mentioning the ones I experienced).

In the excitement I forgot to take a screen shot of the results but as there were (unfortunately) only 6 of us at the finish I was able to remember the order.

sounds like a great race up front at the end.  sorry I had to miss it.

I fully intended to be back by race time from a dinner for my son's birthday.  It went long and I had no idea how late it was until I was in my car driving home and it was already passed 9:00pm.

I decided it was better not to speed home and tell the kid to tuck himself into bed on his birthday.

But like I told dawson in an XMB msg, this will make the points closer for the last race

damn... this really sucks.

I just looked at the calendar and realized I will be gone for the final race, AND that means I lose the points lead to Dawson, Looney, and maybe Turbo too.

I have to go to a conference for work in Chicago!

I doubt there's any way to bring my stuff with me on an Amtrak train, set it up, and all that crap.

oh well, I did my best and leading while I could participate will have to be good enough, I guess.

Kinda bummed to miss out on the last two...

if we can both run a full series then that would be a nice close one, for sure.

this is sorta like a rider in the Tour de France losing the yellow jersey due to a crash or something.  definitely sucks after so many races to have this happen.

furthering my career is a little more important I guess   (a little)

Damn man, it really blows that you won't be around for the last one.  I'd offer to change the race date but that wouldn't be fair to all parties involved.  I'm sure we'll all be running in another series again soon

I know, I thought about asking but it's not fair as you said.

I've got a Kart-based event that I've been wanting to do for some time and I think I'm going to take this opportunity to hash it out and get it posted here and elsewhere to begin building it up.
