Are the restrictions still in place for last week's evnets? I need some better tires on the Scooby, 2th place is all I can get.  :'(

Yes Chrome, as of last night, the last weeks events are still up with the same restrictions.

I borrowed Wizards Subi and spanked the field on my first try.  Thank you Wiz for sharing!

I tried Wizards, but I was slower in his than mine. Our gearing seems to be about the same, but mine turns better, I'm just not consistent or fast enough. Best lap is a 1:36, I have yet to run a 35, and that's just not going to cut it.

Screw it, can't win 'em all.

I have a Scooby shared I managed a 7'57:xxx in race with it. It keeps gaining HP you may to bump the slider now and then.

I found time with an early turn in @ turn 6.

I'm not sure if everyone's setups suffer from this but the biggest problem I had was understeer particularly when accelerating out of turns, once I got a handle on that (tried tuning it out but made matters worse lol) it wasn't so bad.  Mostly a case of "brake > turn > throttle" so I'd line the car up and brake then turn in and get it lined up for the exit before giving it too much throttle.

Looking at the map I think the biggest corners I found for making up (or losing) time were 3, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10.  If I remember the speeds right this is about what I was going through them at:

Turn 3: turning in @ 55-60mph, accel. out at 65mph+
Turn 4: turning in @ 70-75mph, 2 wheels on the curb and accel. out @ near 80mph
Turn 6: turning in @ 75mph, accel. out @ near 80mph
Turn 8: forgot speed but start out wide for the turn in and hit the accel. about halfway down the hill
Turn 9: turning in @ 75mph, carry speed through and accel. out late around 80mph
Turn 10: turning in @ 75mph, accel. out @ 80

like I say though it might've been the way I had my car set up that meant I had to break in a fairly straight line and turn in / through without too much throttle to get the right line out before really giving it the beans but hopefully that helps someone somehow :).

I love this post and I'm not just picking on Feldynn.  According to the map, there are 11 turns (counting the cork screw as 1) and Feldynn has picked more than half the track as spots for losing time.

I used the default adjustable suspension tune.  I don't recall excessive underster.  I was running 34's and 35's with it.  "Slow in, fast out."  The car is shared but it's really a bunch of bolt-ons with no tune.  Just the ballast set to the rear for a 59/41 weight distribution.

Hehe, I know right :-[.  I was thinking as I looked at the map there were a couple of spots I remembered really losing time on, then I remembered consistently going slower through other parts that I could / should have and it sort of spiraled out of control :laugh

:stoopid:  Although I used Wiz's subie for the event, Ronin's seemed to have less understeer going into the turns. It might suit your driving style a little better.
