I wound up doing the XNR one, with a nearly stock car, only added race trans. This was the first time driving this car, and it wasn't that bad, for an oldy.

The Lambo on the other hand is a monster. That's just way to much power for SH tires. I tried and tried to get gold with it stock, but could only muster a Silver. Added the customizable suspension, and used my Samba Bus tune.  :laugh That shit worked, got gold right away.

The Lotus and it's massive lift off oversteer was a problem, but I countered that by adding weight to the front, and got the balance to 48/52. That still allowed for rotation, but was much easier to deal with. Beat the gold time by the largest margin here, out of the 3 evnets.

Haven't run these on my other ID yet, the Lambo evnet wore me down.

That sounds like fun. I shall attempt to gold with stock settings tonight.  :)

My other ID hasn't won the Diablo yet, gotta find out where that gets handed out. Buying it cost more than the seasonal pays out.  :P

Edit: The Diablo is the prize car for getting all stars in the I-B section.

Some of you out there aren't too happy about the SRF being avaialble for TT's, and I think you may be staying out of them because you don't want your "rank" if there ever is one published somewhere, to look abysmal.

I've been doing them when they get released, and yea I'm sort of half-way in-between caring about my placement and not giving a shit.

But there is an alternative - Do them after the rankings registration period is over.  That way, you get the credits but don't even appear on the leaderboard!

This is what I've done with some of the recently "closed" ones.

I don't do these for the ranking, but I do like to see where my half assed attempts end up amongst my friends. I mainly want the paint chips, and the credits.

I wish they would bring on the Matte Green. Excellent military color.

I checked to make sure I have the cars today. I was unsure what stock was on the '96 Lotus race car so I purchased a fresh 111 R race car.

I'm glad they list where the Diablo came from mine was out of spec and did not show up at first due to being filtered out.

A cool thread at the planet for running stock at the seasonals. http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/stock-seasonal-time-trials-7-xnr-ghia-roadster-diablo-gt2-elise-race-car-2-26-to-3-26.304098/

Also, I should have looked there first for the stock settings.  ^-^

I'm like Chrome.  I run them for the cash, the paint and to see where I sit among friends.
When I look at the leader boards, the count doesn't start for me until the first guy with SRF off shows up.  He may be ranked 11st but that's where I start my target.

The Lambo event is tiresome, the Lotus event was awesome and the Plymouth event was pretty darn fun for an oldie.

I mostly just run them for the the Gold prize and move on these days, the odd one I may actually enjoy and might try to put in a decent (friends list wise) time on if I actually remember to do them while registration is open.  Usually it's just a case of "one and done" for me though.

I rarely even bother to look at Global leaderboards now on this or any game, most of them are or have been tainted by cheaters, glitchers or exploiters of one form or another so for me the majority of the rankings can be taken with a pinch of salt at the very least.

 :stoopid:

on the other hand... when SRF was forced on many of us suggested it be there as an option.... which it is. As stated in the other thread it would be nice if we could separate the results. It would be nicer still if the guys who don't need it to be fast would leave it alone :2c

I am surprised by how many fast guys actually still use it. I have heard some of them say it is there (I) might as well use it. I am sure if these guys looked around their home town they could find someone dealing heroin and since it is there might as well be a junkie. Honestly and this goes for most of the in game aids, I just don't get it, if thats the type of driving being looked for then why buy the "real driving simulator"? To turn around use the aids and make the driving more artificial seems to be actions that are contradictory.

I have had some fun with the Lotus one and many thanks to Boston for adding some good motivation. Got out this evening and was able to put some good laps in after realizing I had been running with my TC on  :-[ . made it into the top 1900 despite no SRF

And I just saw Dude suggestions for tuning will have to give it a go as I think I am mostly stock.

Since PD left out the DEFAULT button if you alter some cars you have know idea what was stock. Posted are the stock settings for those cars.
