that Senna TT was a bit of a bear

 :stoopid:

I don't like those kinds of cars anyway, they're just too damn touchy, and fast. I'm within a second of silver after 3-4 laps. I just don't care enough to try for gold. Probably can't get it anyway.  :P

On another note I haven't been able to articulate what I want to say about the drift trials yet.

All I can determine about the optimal scoring zone is, it's very, very narrow. Speed and angle still seem to not factor into the score, unless you get really sideways, which makes the score stop all together. Extreme angle is very maintainable, but the game thinks you're about to spin out, so no score.

The 1th sector at Brands I'm getting scores from 700+ to 4000+ with runs that look, and feel near identical. The scoring is just all over the place.

Also, the Aston Martin VGT is eligible for the DT at Tsukuba, so I used it. Even with the non-adjustable LSD, and no torque splitter, it was a drifting machine.

I think I read at the PD site that drift scoring involves also hitting the proper apex.
an excerpt: Distance from the Racing Line. You will be judged according to how far you strayed from the ideal racing line for cars which grip the track normally. The farther you are away from the racing line, the more points you will lose.
It will not let me post complete link. Go here http://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gt6/manual/
Then select Arcade then How to Drift.

I like your vehicle of choice @ Tsukuba and got it to a 1'04.817  :)

Yeah, they've had that same description since GT5, problem was, it was never true. I think since they reworked it, it may be getting closer to that though. The problem, like stated above, is the narrow score zone, which seems to be the width of the blue lines you see in TT's.

Yeah, I seen the Range Rover in my eligible cars list for the Tsukuba TT, and figured why not. That sucker was bad pushy, but fast enough for gold.  :)

Had to pass on the Senna one.  I'm not spending 3 million for a car I'll never use.

Tsukuba, I started in an MR2.  I just spun off the track.  Switched to the old Peugeot 205 AWD and got the gold.  That is one fun little car.

That car could have been won in the Senna thing, maybe still can.  :-\
If I can win it, certainly you can.

Hmmm, that is interesting guys.

I ran all the Senna events and I did gold them.  But, no car given out.

Screw it.    Not my cup of tea anyway.

this^ You don't even have to gold. I only managed silver and that was enough for free cars. To be honest I think all you have to do is run a clean lap to receive the car.

Also, they pay a ton of money.

If you complete the Senna challenge you are awarded 1 kart and 2 race cars, one being the Lotus F1 car.  And if you gold everything while maintaining a 200% bonus multiplier you get 9,000,000 credits.  Definitely worth 1 1/2 hrs of time IMO.

More events is always a good thing.

Did the matte green ever show up?

No, but they are already repeating colors. Matte Pink this week, and Matte Light Green last week. We've had both before.  :P

I'll ask PD if they can start sending out museum cards instead of repeated paints.
