You can't tune it out.  The gasoline engine only powers the front wheels.  The rear wheels are powered by electric motors.  So it's really not an AWD system trying to handle massive amounts of power.  It's a FWD system trying to handle too much power and a RWD system handling it's power just fine.   :P

I stand correct(ed) about the drive train, but the effect is still the same.  Too much at the front so you cannot turn and gas at full throttle regardless.  What I meant by tune was that something on the car could be changed to alleviate the understeer, whether it be drivetrain, suspension or something else...  Unfortunately, because it's a tuneless time trial (TTT) that option is locked out.  But bear in mind, that all drivers are experiencing the same problem, so it's something that can be overcome or at least learned from.

FWIW, I didn't find the car all that bad to begin with, so maybe it just comes down to taste like so many things?

While we're on the topic of AWD...you still have your Evo?  ;D

yes.  it's in the garage and hardly is ever driven, though.  I work remotely from home most of the time.  Need to get out and drive more!

Eh, don't make it sound so bad!  In the 11 months I've owned her I've put almost 13,000 miles on the Cayman.  That's too many miles per year for a Porsche!     If I could work from home that'd around 7,000 fewer miles I'd drive annually.

At least I can dump 5-7,000 miles a year onto the GS-R  ;D

No kidding, and it has the acceleration of the RB cars, without all that pesky downforce.  ::)

It didn't take too many laps and I posted a low 1400th time.
Not bad for a "wind" machine.

I recommend the Toyota TS030, start the race on inters and make no stops. I came close to running out of fuel, but did not and won by over 50 seconds.

The Matterhorn event is locking up my PS3.

It's locking up many, many systems.

servers still suck donkey nads too.  I got fed up last night.  How can you ever expect to have a decent race when half the field can't see 8-12 of the racers on track?    One race, we had 14 on track, and 8 of us had the invisible car issue.  It's knucking futts!

I popped in the drunk room.. saw everyone on track then, to my dismay, half of them disappeared. Took it as a sign of things to come and bailed, please don't think l was being rude
