Drove for the first time in over a month. Literally have not driven sim or in real life since back towards the end of November. Drove a couple of seasonals and I am way out of driving rhythm. Trying to take small steps though maybe I will make it out in the next few weeks. Liked getting back to driving but it felt really weird might take some time. Although that could have been the meds they have me on I took my 4 pills for the night they all have warnings about dizziness and drowsiness then came out and tried to drive so that might be part of my sloppyness issues. Hope everyone had good holidays and are doing well.

Thanks Soks in my time off I have given up what I used to almost sustain myself on, Mtn Dew and herb. It has resulted in my losing ten pounds so far but also changing my perspective considering I used to be baked for nearly all of my waking hours.

Thanks for the tips y'all.

Chappy - I use a wheel so I didn't have too much of an issue with that. However this thing holds the track better if you're on the "gas" a bit - has to do with the little downforce jet on the top of the car.

Mazda - WAI KANT I PAYNT YOO?? Sweet. May try that for a survival seasonal. I have yet to do either.

Mt. Panarama - Hate the car, love the track. Gold'd after a few tries (had to get used to the ass-tackular handling) and did not break my TV. The key for me was passing the SV in the small switchback. After that I could draft & Pass fairly easily.

Baked - good to see you back! I'll keep good thoughts for you.

Keep it light,
Revengel

I forgot that the Suzuka Survival race expired on 1/6.  Didn't complete it in time, lost 2,750,000 credits as a result  :'(

Seems like forever since I last did a Seasonal, was sometime last year but probably just early / mid December.  My problem is I try to wait til I've got the full log in bonus to do them for maximum cash, but invariably I forget (or just don't bother) to log in consistently enough to get it built up and end up missing the events LOL.

I may put the game back in and do the snow rally.  It's been forever since we had one of those.

Over the ruts and through the snow we go,
To the top of the leader board just for show.

Gotta be different from the herd.
What shall I use
A Subie! A Mitsubishi?
Nah, Marios car,
the one with the blown fuse.

Bought the Mitsubishi that I saw near the top of the leader board.  Just bought turbo to reach max PP, did not tune anything.  TCS OFF, AWD cars like to spin a little.  Got gold on my second lap.

Unfortunately, even at 200% the gold reward did not pay for the car.

Right, but now you have one more car in your garage that you don't have to buy again.

Every one makes it that much easier to keep on playing.

A lot of cheating going on in the snow rally.  Corner cutting galore.  What a joke.

No wonder this game is collecting dust, only taken out for these seasonals.  That might not even happen now.

2 months Boston.  Keep telling yourself, two months. In two months I can kiss PD good fucking bye.

I keep on PDI's case about boundary penalties. So far, I have had no affect on them at all.

Regarding snow tracks in particular, I have no idea what PDI's intention is, but players have figured out that, in GT, cars are actually snowmobiles.

Sure.

And I had fun driving it.

I like snow tracks.  Maybe it's because I like driving my (real) Impreza on snow  ;)  Last week we got about 4 inches of snow and I drove to work before the City had time to clean the streets.  That was fun.  But I prefer pushing to the limit on GT6 where there's no consequence for hitting a wall (except that you lose what could have been a good lap...)

I didn't see much room for corner cutting on this particular event.  There's walls all around the track, isn't it ?  I'll have a look at the replays of the fastest guys, maybe I'll see what Boston is talking about.  Sometimes PD delete lap times when the replays show obvious abuse of the boundaries.

There are many tracks where you can run 200 feet on the grass almost as fast as on the track.  The only thing is that your tires feel slippery on the grass (maybe it should be much more slippery ?) and they still feel a little slippery for a few seconds after you're back on track.  For the last part (slippery after you get back on track) I'm not even sure if it's real or just my imagination.  Any information regarding this ?

Thanks,

Yves
