Title: TuTu November 19 2013 - Farewell GT5
Post by: TheHotstepper on November 13, 2013, 08:26:18 PM
:'( Sadly this will by the final official TuTu we run for GT5. I'll be taking a break for a week or two until GT6 comes out (and then I'll probably only run one TuTu in December and come back full force in January). At any rate, we're closing out this era the same way it started. Please come out and celebrate one last TuTu in this great game.

It was a good night racing... thanks to all who came out. I hope GT6 provides as much entertainment as GT5 has.

I had a fun night of racing. Somebody was mentioning on the mic how things got started on GT5. I still remember the day. I opened up a room and told everyone to join me as we try and figure things out. UCan was one of the first to join. The details are a little gray but I remember ripping it around trial mountain in my 8-6 while UCan kept up in his Civic.

Just an update as to what's going on with me. I hope nobody feels as if I have abandoned you guys, which is not true. I have been focused on work and school to the point where I have no social life, let alone hours to stay up to date with GT5. I haven't been posting much, but that doesn't mean I haven't been trying to keep up with what's going on in here. I appreciate everybody for keeping this Tuesday-night tradition alive, and a big thanks to Hotstepper for doing such a great job. I couldn't have asked for a better turnout for this evnet.

I plan on devoting more time to racing with you bunch and look forward to GT6!

Very entertaining read.

Spotted this from Gary, and thought it was worth quoting.

The above three posts are exactly why these events (Tuneless Tuesday and the Saturday Night Drive-in) have come about and are growing in popularity. Guys can jump in, run as many races as they can and not feel pressured about having to go deal with real life. If you miss a few, you can come back. If you can't come back, there's always next week. I hope they continue for awhile.
