Today it was 355hp/1300kg and it was goos fub.
I had almost caught Grill on lap 24 and suddenly my car died. It thought hardware failure. I was pulling and reconnecting shit. Then I lokked at noticed my tank was empty, I ran out of gas...
:dunce

had a great time, good clean racing all over the track just wish i had of come better prepared 20mins isn't much notice. :D messed with pedals prior to race to race and didn't test them...let's just say it wasn't an improvement. :(
BTW where is the bitch at Kaz thread - i want the option to calibrate wheels and pedals.
-
That was fun. I usually need an hour or so to figure out a car and even then I'm far from the fastest car on track. Fortunately the weather can sometimes even things out. Or in my case make them worse.
My final lap I had gas, but no tires left. I should have pitted 5 laps prior, but didn't want to lose positions and really thought I might make it.

hey i finally made it!! so after testing the gtlm vrs. the zonda r i have discovered the gtlm is now 2 seconds faster, this is new since the last update, as they used to be virtually the same speed for me. i feel pretty bad about using the gtlm during the race now. i hope me pulling over and letting others finish ahead of me didn't piss anyone off to much. guess we'll find out next week.
-
Well it pissed ME off. I wanted you to kick their :fucking asses after saying whoever did the 2:17 must've been cheating.
If they don't want the GTLM they should say so, which they do/did not. Not until they were getting spanked that is...
Go SlowManTuna!!!

I used a GTLM and was no where near slowman. I tried to use a Weider, but it was 2 seconds slower for me than the GTLM.
Next week is some new specs. 552 1180 or something.
-
LOL, WELL NEXT TIME I WILL DESTROY!!!!! MUHHH HAA HAA HAA HAAAAA!
-
Cool!!!
I just thought it was kinda smug of them to say someone was cheating because their time got beat (by 3 seconds!!!).
Evidently they are not used to Close Encounters of the Tuna kind...

THAT'S AWESOME!

I thought everyone knew Hey was a freak. The highlight of my week was actually passing him in one of the races. It took the draft and running off the track to make the pass, but I got past the SOB. Of course, he took it back a short while later and gave me a beating the rest of the way, but I'll always have my pass to remember.

i remember beating Hey in a race once. Somehow, I convinced him to try to do an entire race on racing softs without pitting. Even he couldn't do it. No proof but there were witnesses.

No pics, but I heard him laugh and make a snide comment.

NONE OF THIS IS TRUE I TELL YA!!
-
552hp 1180kg any race car. No LMP and no GT test cars. Tire wear is set to fast. Track today is Monza.
-
how smoothly did the race finally go? with the host lagging so bad i hope that didn't effect anything. i wish i could have stuck around, but i had been up since about 1:30 with some sort of stomach thing :'(. heck still fighting it this morning. i knew i couldn't make the entire race, due to that, and all the issues they was having. no to mention i couldn't focus at all. kinda bummed though i was looking foward to racing against vtr maitrix. i heard he is really fast. damn gotta make another appt with the oval office :o.
-
The host got disco'd. Lots of other folks noticed him lagging in the race. The Vipers were dominant, they took the podium by storm. Best laps were low 1:40s until about lap 33, when F1 laid down a low 1:39. And it never rained though weather was on. Good racing. (Maitrix came in third, bad tire/fuel management because he had a 4sec lead when he had to pit.)
-
yeah i figured host would have issues, which usually means issue for entire room. i also figured vipers would dominate, they seemed fast. if we started at the normal time i prolly coulda toughed it out, but the late start would have forced a stop and hold for 300 seconds in the pit for me. as it turned out i woulda needed 2 of those pit and hold penalties during that race time.
-
so did you guys know that everyone runs their cars to near empty when trying to get a good q lap when tire wear is set to fast? i've been in a few races lately, where this has happened. cleary i am dumber than i look, and thats saying alot. i would have never thought of it by myself.

I know the car can be quicker with less fuel, but I have never bothered or managed to run that many laps without leaving the track for adjustments and such.
They are long races and I am usually just trying to get a consistent time that is close to fastest lap. Oh and for me close is a second or two. :)
-
they are approx 2 seconds faster per lap on near empty tank with fresh tires. i discovered this on wednesday nights fgt race at spa with wagg, and some other guys from the death star. side note, the crew over at the death star has gotten pretty cool i must say. original note, we had an hour long practice / q session. everyone elses time kept getting better by large amounts. my time however improved a tenth here, a tenth there. i started thinking i wasn't nearly as fast as i thought. granted i never race the formula 1 or formula gt cars ever, but still i'm never 2 seconds off pace in a spec race. so i ended up with a q time good enough for next to last place.
the race begins, half the group blows turn 1, i pass 4 or 5 people, and find myself in 5th place. it takes a few more laps before i catch the 2nd place guy( he q'd 1.75 seconds faster then me). he gave me a good run for 2 or three laps before he destroyed his tires trying to keep up. i'm thinking how am i keeping up with everyone when the are clearly seconds faster then me. now i have nothing but clear track between me and position #1 guy. he pits shortly after, that leaves me in 1st. i'm now pulling away from 2nd at over a second a lap, still trying to figure out where everyones speed went. i ended up using the 1 pit strategy, while most everyone else used a 2 pit. i ended up 2nd place, (2 pit strategy was better it seems) but by only 9 or 10 seconds. not the 50 or 60 seconds i was figuring would happen. thats when it dawned on me that they must have let their fuel get low. i asked and they all confirmed it. lol, now i know.

Just another example of why don't we have more host controls. It could easily be an option to set fuel amount. Then if you want 15 liters in your tank to hot lap and Q you could do that.
Also, that's another reason to have a track reset before qualifying. :)

yes this^^^^

A lot of us really missed you to day Fsher. I and many others hope to see you on track soon. It was too funny a large groupe of us kept asking the same question. Where is Fisher and the fishtank? :jimi:
