Endurance race (approximately 2hrs long)
Thinking of Le Sarthe or DRoC - but open to ideas...
"The 24 tires of..."
Basically a LONG, LONG race requiring a minimum of 5 pits in an RM car...
I was thinking of doing this during the day on July 4th or 5th (Thursday or Friday).
Any interest? Any car or track wishes? Any other feedback?

I have the 4th off, but have to work on the 5st. I would prefer DRC over Sarthe. So other than that I'm in for a long race with a bunch of pit stops.

What time are you thinking of doing it? My son has some pretty extensive medical tests in the morning of the 5th but the afternoon would be good. Say 2pm PDT. I would love to do a race at La Sarthe (though I'd rather do Nurburgring 24h) with the time change fast enough to go through 24hours.

I would prefer DRC over La Sarthe. My availability will depend on the weather (i.e. if it's nice and sunny out I probably won't be staying in). I do plan on taking off the 5th though.
I would be in favor of using RM or TC cars in the 400-450 hp range.

I'm definitely feeling the RX7 TC. If we wanted to use it is there another car that's close in specs to provide a choice?
I'd love to find a way to race the Audi R8 LMS against something like the Ford GT LM cars, but the Fords seem too fast. Maybe ballast could equal that out a bit?

I might can do something on the 4th. La Sarthe is cool so would be Grand Valley. As for cars, isn't there a Prius TC? I got a unique rules package for the FGT that so far seems to make for good oval and road racing. It seems to match the performance of modern Indy Cars. Any TC, RM or LM sounds cool. Camaro '00 LM ;D

I was sitting naked on a chair eating Cheetos and watching cartoons when an idea hit me. How about Cappuccino RMs at inside Cape Ring. Just build them out to max and pick a tire type and wear speed.

I plan on doing both. RMs at DRoC on the 4st.
And non-DLC TCs at NBR24h on the 5st. Cars, pp, etc. will be announced by Tuesday night.

Correct. I was planning on running these during the day. Figure them to be 2.5-3hr races, probably will run them 2pm EDT so that folks can then grab food and head out for fireworks...
I don't HAVE to run these. It's just ENDURANCE racing is in our Tuna genetics. And I have the opportunity to Host because I am off work.
But if y'all are busy, that's fine. I can go swimming.
Leaning towards RMs at DRoC (probably Mitsu Evo RM vs Subi Imreza RM) on the 4st.
For the 5st I was thinking TCs at NBR24h.
I was asked to forego DLC TCs for ones that the game already has. So I am investigating ones that say SUPER TOURING in their name. Looks like Mitsu FTO vs Subi Impreza; but I might let the Vuaxhalls play too... All four have SUPER TOURING in their name and are pretty close in pp/weight. Of course, we're be matching pp across the board unless someone just has a penchant for un-tuned touring cars. (Too bad about the DLC TCs - they can be paints...)

I have all the cars so I can run whatever everyone wants but I do like the idea of the DLC TCs like the Scooby. I can only run on Friday and only after 5pm eastern. I might be able to push for earlier but it all depends on how long my son's appointment is.

That reminds me. The Subaru Super Touring comes in several colors, with each color having a different number.
Colors I have....orange, white, silver, and black
Now the numbers I have are 57, 77, 87, 97.
What I want to know is, is there another color, that has the number 67 on it? I'd like to have them all, if I don't already.

Reminder about the "24 Tire Of Nurburgring" coming next Monday afternoon (Labor Day).
Any car prefs? I am leaning towards the Lupo, the Lupo GTI, or the mm-R Cup Cars... Charlie's elite R&D team will be working out specs this week and will post a official announcement to announce the event.
In the meantime, we wanted to announce that we will be announcing the announcment "soon".

In those cars, 24 tires could take 50 laps... But either y'all just don't give a :fuck or you aren't paying attention.
I am seriously thinking of cars that would barely last 2 laps if praying, extremely lucky, and perfect control. Something in an RM variety. Something that eats tires like popcorn...

I'm interested. Always like the Lupo at Nurb race from A-spec. With that said, I don't know if I'll be around to run it, as we're heading for the coast the weekend, and not sure we'll be back Monday or Tuesday.

Is the race still set for 3pm EDT? and is EDT the same as EST? If it is 3pm EST I probably will not be able to attend, since I'm driving back from Charlotte that day. Something around 4-430pm would greatly increase the odds of my participation :D

So who exactly is in? I can make it but if only a couple of people are racing, I don't really want to haul my ps3 downstairs and set everything up and get used to GT5 physics again. If a lot of people are in, I'd love to race with you guys even if I'm just hotlapping in the back.

Nope... There will be specs. Tuning will be allowed, encouraged, and basically required (to make specs). Check with Dude, I'm sure he'll have something from the Planet to share. If not I can post something. We need to eat tires!!!
Leaning away from the fancy (i.e. LMs/race) Fjord GTs and towards the plain ones (premium and standard) - that way folks can express their individuality more easily. I will post specs and other evnet data in the next day or so. But it will follow the same race format as the July 4st "24 Tires at DRoC"; i.e. "Race for Real" setting; false-start engaged; heavy damage; heavy penalties; very fast tire wear; NO Driver-Aids (including ABS, TC, and drivering line); etc...

ANY non-LM/non-race Fjord GT. There is a premium and three standards that will work. 12 laps; 607pp; Racing tires... Will post event tomorrow.
