What makes a Tuna??

As a relative newbie to online racing, due in part to previous bad online experiences, I'd like to share this with all(y'all?)
I found the Tunas(Tuanae.. Tunai...) while searching for GT tunes a few months ago. I could tell immediately that they were my kind of people(that is, they don't mind using the F word as punctuation, like a good joke, especially if it's off-color,love bacon, etc.)
After a few time trials in GT5P and getting thru some of GT5 I bit the bullet(with some trepidation) and came out to run with them online.
WHAT DID I FIND?
A bunch of like minded individuals, who love to race, are willing to share what they know and above all HAVE FUN doing it.
So if you're here to find the same, if you want to race hard, race clean and have fun, you have come to the right place.

I agree 100% nosoks.  There's no place I'd rather be.  There's no one else I'd rather be racing with.  I don't care if there's just 2 of us on the track or 16.  It puts a smile on my face every time.  I look forward to seeing you out on the track more often.  Have fun in Indonesia.  :)



*Question for anyone in the know, where did that line originate?  I assume it was just a spelling error that stuck?

UCan can tell the full story...

Not sure who to credit; but yes, it was a typo. 

Someone was typing "Long Live Tunas" and goofed.  But it stuck...  As witnessed in many of the race pic that get posted around here, folks are usually in a nice long line...

The Tunas are a great group of guys for sure. I'm very happy to have found them, and be a part of. I said it more than once, back in the day. My copy of 5P would have had a ton of dust on it, had it not been for these guys.

The original source of "Long Line Tunas" is already lost to me. I saw it on somebody's wall one night (Chrome's, I think) and no longer recall who posted it. Dude, perhaps. Or, maybe it was Looney. I dunno.

It was obviously a tpyo and it just struck me as hilarious. The wall doesn't allow edits so your stuck with whatever you happened to choke out of the keyboard. As someone who is somewhat anal about spelling and grammar... I will fix a mistake I see in a post I made from 3 months ago... I hate and love tpyos at the same time. They make for some funny chit.

I can't explain what it is about "Long line Tunas" that rings so true to me. Whoever threw it up obviously meant to type: Long Live the Tunas" and it just came out... well, wrong. That's what makes it so right. And so Tuna. :)


I don't need to tell you guys how I feel about this place... and this group. But you all have my deepest gratitude and sincerest thanks for a lot of fun and good times over the past couple of years.
