Really? I am sure this is the first time that I have heard of this.

Off-hand, I don't think you can enter Spa too fast and I got one there when I wasn't even pressing on the gas before the AI took over. Daytona may be a different situation, though. Don't know.

Yes, Daytona, Indy, and Laguna Seca have been "special" in this sense.

Good race up at the front.

I only have myself to blame for just jumping in a race with no preparation at all.  In the mad rush to get the Z4 on track, I was running 13HP less, plus horrible oversteer in mid corner and exit.  During the race, I kept on wondering how come I can run a 29-20 lap stint, while others needed to pit much earlier.  I do not believe that I was driving ultra conservatively that I could save 5-7 laps of fuel.  That 13HP made a difference I guess.  I could only squeeze out 1'47 fastest lap (3 to 3.5 sec loss to 500HP which I checked afterwards) Oh well, next time.

I knew I would have to do 3 stops as I was getting about 6 laps on 25 L, so 22, 44, and 66 seemed to be the best choice based on running on good tires.

thanks!

Glad you guys made it.

re: 3 stops, I did the math early, and when the tire wear started to look kind of low, but still turning fast(ish) laps, I tried to redo the math while driving and what I came up with was that I'd have to do 7-8 more laps on tires that were starting to feel sloppy.  Felt that the smarter thing to do was pit three times.  As we all felt at one point or another, an off there can add tons of time and amount to almost as much as a pit stop.  Better to take that pit and have fewer offs, IMO.

I made this race video, with changing viewpoints and focussing on closest battles to hopefully make this pretty entertaining if you felt like watching the whole thing.

The leader was not decided until the end... but don't skip ahead if you want some good racing to watch ;)

Overall I am very impressed with how clean this race was, even with some newer-comers involved.

I will be free on Saturday and so I plan on making it out to GT SAturday's Evnet. Here are the details. I'm not sure what has changed in order to join in. You might have to join GT Saturday Club? Hopefully MGT, Ex, DM, TRL or ? will drop by here.

I managed to read. Yes, I know, anyway, you must join GT Saturday Club as it is run from the Club Lobby. :)

Sorry to not remember that not everyone has access to the planning thread. (Or at least looks at it..... ;) )

On the 13th, we will be running 625 PP at LaSarthe.

Let's see if we can get one each of all of the LMP cars in game!

See you then!
