Pictures are worth 1002 words
« on: March 17, 2011, 11:23:16 PM »

Note:  Pictures fit nicely at 800 pixels wide.

Edit:  At least that's what seems to be a good size to me.  Let me know if you guys agree/disagree.  Once we're settled on the proper size for most users I'll update this post.

Tutorials on how to resize and post images.  Note:  This is just one way to do it.  There are other ways, this one just seems easiest to me.

Imgur.com

BotoPhucket.com

I recommend viewing them in HD using the full screen option.  At certain points it's somewhat hard to see what I'm doing and I also got lost for a second at BotoPhucket (haven't used it much lately).  I'll annotate them in the next few days to make it easier to follow along.

I also sometimes find the need to resize multiple images at once.  I found a simple batch image resizer program that I'll share with y'all and I'll make a tutorial for that as well.

I see pictures are becoming more valuable as we keep trying new forums. I'm going to start hoarding mine until the price hits 1008 words and then it's sell... Sell... SELL!

I just love these old Camaro's. I believe TunaWiz  mentioned running a RM series in another thread. I think a field full of these at Laguna would be nice to see.

So after some testing I've learned that the optimal photo size depends on which theme you're using and also which browser you use.  Once everything is settled, please give me some feedback on what sizes are working for you and also let me know which theme & browser you're using and I'll update the first post with the optimal settings.  I also plan to create some youtube tutorials on how to resize and insert images with both imgur.com and Photobucket.com as they seem to be the two most popular options.  Thanks.  :)
