I love the idea of this!

Could you do a "mini event" first? I don't know if I will be around that weekend.

Well, I'm not going to schedule anything along that line because I need to cut way back on my event planning to be honest. My wife is growing somewhat pissed at the number of races I "Have to do". if people want to throw together some shorter spur of the moment practice races under these specs I would not mind and prolly join if I am free. Despite being a year old, my car for this still needs some break in miles. :laugh

Superbird!!!!
Looks like fun.

1 question.  Slip steam on full/strong?  Is that a misprint or is that the setup?

Thanks

Not a typo, conscious decision. We don't run strong slipstream too often, this seems like a good race to have it for a little change of pace.

Ronin you probably are aware of this but as July 4th falls on a Wednesday this year a lot of people will probably celebrate it (and take trips, have cookouts, etc) on the weekend of the 7th.  Could be a scheduling problem for a lot of people.

I know I won't be able to make it as I usually spend the week around July 4th vacationing up on Long Island (cue Looney with something snarky  :laugh )

When I was growing up my family all ways did vacation the weekend before on instances where it fell in the middle of the week. This race is scheduled the weekend following Richard Petty's birthday if you are wondering where I came up with this race idea. Whoever makes it makes it who ever doesn't..it's just a race.

You care if I do a "prequel" on Wednesday (July 4rd)?   It may drum up business for you...

Not sure I'll be home in time for this and not sure I'm interested in the Drive-In, so may try this.  Do you have to sign up or just show up?

It's a who ever shows up night.

I am actually a little concerned about the time I scheduled it for. Not sure what I was thinking when I put this up because I leave for work at 10:00 PM. I'm just hoping I'll be able to run the full distance.

That said if there are not enough people who show up this may get rescheduled for next weekend.

Because the slip stream/draft/Rubber Band Effect is on full, my hands are staying down.  Sorry I wont be seeing you!
