Yes I am a red neck.    But I enjoy all forms of racing. :2tu
Today is the Daytona 500, the biggest race with the biggest hype  I will be cheering for the FORD camp.
But the one to watch is Kyle Busch in the Toyota camp, relay if he keeps his sit together this year.
I cheer for them all but I don't like GM............

Born and raised watching the good old boys bang fenders.  Petty, Yarlbourgh, Kulwiki, D. Waltrip to name a few.

For me, it's exciting being mere millimeters from the next guy traveling at break neck speeds.  Trust and skill in the next guy is a big key

I know just about everyone here really doesn't like racing NASCAR and can't stand DSS.  Unfortunately, I get most of my NASCAR and DSS fix from the open lobbies.

The Daytona 500 is an exciting race.  I look forward to watching it every year.  I don't carry much affiliation with any manufacturer.  I don't care if a Chevy wins or a Ford or a Toyota.  I like certain drivers though.  I have always been a fan of Jeff Gordon.  Pretty boy that does not fit the typical NASCAR driver mold.  Tony Stewart.  Originally I did not like this guy, but as he's matured, I have come to appreciate what a great talent he is.  I CANNOT stand the Busch Brothers.  Especially Kyle the crybaby "Who me?  I'm above the law"  Busch.  That's just me though.  I'd love to see him wall it in the first 1/4 of lap one.

Danica is talented.  However, I wish she would just shut up.  She bitches and moans about EVERYTHING if things are not going her way. Suck it up!

Ah Boston I too from that time. As a child of the 60's  Richard Petty ( I have his autograph ) Buddy Baker were my faves.
Like to catch Buddy on NASCAR radio, even called in to talk to him several times.  And of course watching the first flag to flag 79 Daytona 500,
as most we're I'm sure. Before was just them clips on ABC's wild world of sports, That's my intro to auto racing of any kind.
We like the B's , origanal 6 teams I cheer, ( except Montreal, Habs ) This is another story.
As for the Busch boys , love or hate them, they can drive. I had the same feeling for Dale Earnheart Sr. 
I do though respect every one who straps in.
Now if the :fucking rain would stop.  Let go racing,
