From what I'm reading the first round sounds like kind of a joke.  All you have to do to progess to the next round is get bronze on a handful of challenges and it sounds like it's ridiculously easy to get bronze.

Also, for you guys that don't plan to compete but are car collectors you may want to download it and get said bronzes.  I guess there is a GT Academy Nissan Leaf and also a Nissan Silvia to be won.

 :o :o :o

I know, can't wait to get me one too.

Yeah, I'll get it and give it a go. No hurry, I guess though.

I'm with the Master on this Rick. Take part, if not to win, then at least for some fun competition with your friends. It may even get rid of more rust for regular GT5 racing. Or, you could completely ignore my crazy northern ramblings.

Finished downloading...  took a while to install... once installed there's a 1.01 patch that needs to be downloaded and installed as well.  It's a small patch though, shouldn't take long.

Note:  TCS defaults to 5 everytime you start a new test.

I'm actually on the fence with this.  On the one hand, I'm busy at home and have sort of lost my desire to race (though I had fun during my few races on Saturday night) and am looking for a reason to do it more; but on the other, I have no desire to be a real life racer and don't want to take the spot of someone who does.

Well, Hell, Rick....If I can keep up there with Gar and Wizard (for the time being - LOL), you should have no trouble getting all golds...it's pretty easy at this point in time...and there's a couple of cars in it as well (albeit the one is a stinker).  The Sylvia is nice.   Now all I have to do is to figure out where to look at www.gran-turismo.com for the cars.   Haven't seen anything posted yet.

Also, for the controller guys. If you run a different than default sensitivty, you'll have to set it, but only once.

Also, also, posting from the ps3 sucks. :P

My load time was only 26 mins but it looks like i am having to do it at least twice! First time it came back with an error suggested trying again and if that did not work i would need to write down the error code and contact a sony tech for actual help in getting issue fixed.

Kind of cool. License tests with leader boards. Of course since I'm Canadian so I won't put too much time into it ( see Nosoks, the EXCUSE why I won't win. The REASON I won't win is because I suck). The first round is pretty silly.

Took a little over an hour to load, almost sorry I bothered.  I was happy with my time in the first test, not so much with the second so I took a peek at the fastest replays.  Basically, drive with two tires in the grass the whole way.  What a crock of shit.

First download took 26 mins to fail second took 32 mins to fail third time is saying it will take 43 mins. Will report back with fail or no fail. Maybe they think Ohio is a part of Canada :-) wonder how quick tech support will be considering this is a limited time offer. Fucking Sony is out to drive people away with constant bullshit in every fucking step we take. Get the godamn network fucking running right already its been too damn long we have been tolerant and patient about the details not being right.

I soooo dig our little pond and the group that tends to school up here but Sony has me at my limits this is why o was looking elsewhere not because i want to but I cannot keep dealing with this crap without getting angry which is not what i was looking for in my hobby.
