Isnt that in the timing monitor of the replay?

I think so, or Select the car and the data about tires and fuel should appear on the left side of the screen, kind of like B-spec or 'Watch Race'.

how do you see that, by just looking at the tread?

and does anyone know of a way to tell teh difference in a replay between racing compounds?  Visually or otherwise?

I'm fairly sure in the replays there's info on the hud somewhere that says what tires the currently viewed car is running, I want to say it's up in the top left quadrant but I'm working from memory so I may be wrong on the location.

Also I think visually there is a different between Sports and Racing tires too, from the right angle Racing tires are smooth like slicks should be where as Sports tires should show some obvious tread.  It's easier to see on Premium cars since you can zoom in more but I'm pretty sure it's there (Comfort and Sports I think may look the same though, but I'm not sure).

that's all good to know.  thanks.  I ask mostly because I've been in a couple races in the past couple months where I've seen some suspicous stuff (non-tuna related racing) like someone staying out way longer than should have been possible on the tire they should have been using...
