Fanatec Clubsport V3 pedals.

I saw a picture of these earlier and was worried because they just had those D-pedals.  Not good for heel/toe braking.  These look much better overall except for the optional damper kit.  It looks like they got the damper wrong again.

What looks so bad about the (optional, I wonder how bad it is needed) damper kit?

It looks like the damper is placed in parallel with the load cell.  That wouldn't be an issue with a spring but it is for a damper.  Essentially it means that the force you push on the brake pedal is not necessarily reflected in how much the brakes are activated, it also depends on how fast you press the brakes.  If you jam on the brakes really quickly, the damper will shield the load cell from the forces initially so won't get as much braking as you should.  In practice, this is a non-issue with the V2s because the damper is really weak.

I noticed a dial on the back so it would appear they are adjustable. I wonder if their main purpose is to dampen the ABS rumble feature.

Michael Main is doing a group buy for Obutto cockpits.  $299 for the Ozone and $599 for the R3volution.

After a ton of research i decided the G29 was the best way for me to move due to availability and price. It arrived today. Seems more a move sideways than forward but I will need ps4 compatibility at some point.
Initial impressions.... no real difference from G27 except the brake pedal which will take a little getting used to.
Will keep you posted on any revelations

Oh ya and it says on the box that it works on PC also, but I am unable to confirm that

its been a week with it now.
I am used to and like the brake pedal. The first 3/4 of brake pedal travel is similar to G27 but then it gets quite hard and there is a bit of a learning curve to get the feel.
FFB feels a bit stronger and the info you get is a little different, at first it feels like your getting less info, but after a while you can feel its just coming at you differently. Wish I could be more succinct.
Button placement is all convenient. Have yet to play with remapping as there is no official support in the options menu yet. So I have just set all to default in the DFGT AND the G27 mode. I've read that GT6 reads it as a DFGT
Overall I'm happy with it

Yes, according to Logitech, it is a DF:GT. However, I changed a G27 setting (only the windshield wipers) and that worked, too.

The seat in my rig is killing my bony ass so today I ordered a Sparco R100 to mount to it.  :)

Flippin' sweet.

I have been planning rig improvements for a few months... hoping to make it a reality after the wedding/new year when I actually have a little time.

The seat arrived today, but I am still waiting on a slider and universal base mount to fit it to my rig. If all goes well I should have my other parts by Friday. :)

very nice.

In real cars, leather racing seats are counter productive without your harness on... because it slides one's butt from side to side.  But, for our rigs that should be no problem.

For some reason, at first, my lazy, stoned ass read that as "the welding new year", like you had to wait until then to do any welding on your rig.   ???

Seat slider and a couple of lengths of square tube due to arrive by end of today. So I should be able to assemble it all tonight.
