Renault Cup

Welcome to the Renault Cup.  This event will feature the Clio Renault Sport Trophy Race Car '00 and the Lutecia Renault Sport Trophy Race Car '00.

The series will be 8 races in length with two throw aways (6 races count for points).


This will also be a team effort where each team of 2 will have the same colour car with different coloured wheels. Each team will need a different coloured car so grab a buddy and a colour, join us for some goos times!

Available Colours:
#33 – Black
#66 – White
#22 – Yellow
#9 – Dark Yellow
#99 – Pink
#3 – Silver
#5 – Red
#55 - Blue
Each racer will score points for their finishing position and the team with the lowest point total wins.

     -Room opens at 9:00 pm est.  (15 min practice)
     -Q opens at 9:15 pm est.  (15 min Q session)
     -Race starts at 9:30 pm est.  
     -45 min race length approx.

Weight: 1250 (you will need to add 100kg ballast, position 0)
Tuning: Open
Tires: Racing Hard

-Tuning is completely open.  If it's adjustable, you may change it (not ballast position, must be @ position 0).

--Scoring--

-Points System-

Success Ballast:  

            Pos.   1 - +20kg
                 2 - +15kg
                 3 - + 10kg
                 4 - + 5 kg
            5 – 8 – no change
                 9 - -5 kg
               10 - -10kg
               11 - -15kg
               12 - -20kg

-Teams will be scored by adding finishing positions of each driver. Team with the lowest points wins!                                        
                                              

-Disconnects during a race will be treated as a mechanical failure.
     -You will be awarded last running order points.
     -If more than 1 disconnect occurs, you will be given points in the order of disconnect.
-If you cannot start the race, but are present and trying, you will be awarded the next available            points after the finishers and the race disco’s.  
-12 points will be awarded for a missed race.  (see above exception)

Leaf, I was looking at the Clio and Lutecia last night, and they both spec out the same. I have a few 0 miles examples of both, and other than the name, they seem identical. Seems like Fried tested these out a while back and came to the same conclusion too. Just food for thought.

Also,I doubt I'll make it, as weekday series are near impossible for me to commit to. Y'all have fun though.

I'll check for color and number variations of the car -- I should have a few.  Some may be Lutecias, I do believe they're identical - are they legal?

I thought the Lutecia's were the same but Leaf said one had an advantage.  I can send white, yellow, grey, blue, pink, and red if needed.
