I was sitting naked on a chair eating Cheetos and watching cartoons when an idea hit me.  How about Cappuccino RMs at inside Cape Ring.  Just build them out to max and pick a tire type and wear speed.

I plan on doing both.  RMs at DRoC on the 4st.

And non-DLC TCs at NBR24h on the 5st.  Cars, pp, etc. will be announced by Tuesday night.

I could be wrong but I doubt he would schedule a race to occur when people might want to be out watching fire works for Independence Day.

Correct.  I was planning on running these during the day.  Figure them to be 2.5-3hr races, probably will run them 2pm EDT so that folks can then grab food and head out for fireworks...

I don't HAVE to run these.  It's just ENDURANCE racing is in our Tuna genetics.  And I have the opportunity to Host because I am off work.

But if y'all are busy, that's fine.  I can go swimming.


Leaning towards RMs at DRoC  (probably Mitsu Evo  RM vs Subi Imreza RM) on the 4st. 

For the 5st I was thinking TCs at NBR24h.   

I was asked to forego DLC TCs for ones that the game already has.  So I am investigating ones that say SUPER TOURING in their name.  Looks like Mitsu FTO vs Subi Impreza; but I might let the Vuaxhalls play too...   All four have SUPER TOURING in their name and are pretty close in pp/weight.  Of course, we're be matching pp across the board unless someone just has a penchant for un-tuned touring cars.   (Too bad about the DLC TCs - they can be paints...)

I have all the cars so I can run whatever everyone wants but I do like the idea of the DLC TCs like the Scooby.  I can only run on Friday and only after 5pm eastern.  I might be able to push for earlier but it all depends on how long my son's appointment is.

There didn't seem to be as much interest in July 5st, as many folks are working that day.  Plus in discussions with my :nagnag lovely wife, it has come to my attention that my Friday availability during the day has been impacted.  Honey-do's...

So...  Here's how it looks right now.

July 4st
3pm EDT

At DRoC
RM Mitsubishi Evo vs RM Subaru Impreza

Tuning specs will be posted tomorrow...


Then, on Labor Day (09/02) at 3pm EDT Charlie will host the "24 tires of Nurburgring" at NBR24h.

Both events will be set as "real racing" vs "race for fun" as race type.

Other "wrinkles":
Very Fast tire wear.
Full Damage
Heavy Penalties
STRONG slipstream
No TC
No ABS
